Oh, I hear ya. But I see it as multiple versions of the film more than just multiple copies. Kinda like having both the Theatrical and Extended cuts of the LOTR films. In fact, I also want the standard DVD so I can have the Theatrical cut of WATCHMEN as well (the Blu-ray is the Director's Cut with the Theatrical cut only as Digital Copy).

The Extended Cut will be yet another version/cut of the film.

That totally makes sense. I haven't made up my mind yet honestly. :lol

Out of all the movies I've seen in the past few years... this , TDK and Drag me to Hell stand out above them all.
Such an awesome movie. I could watch it again and again. Its like watching a comic .... if that makes sense.
Different but it works so well.

I'll buy the Directors cut, and download the Ex. I dug the TOTBF....but I dont really need it in the movie. But it would be cool to see once.

I can't wait to watch this again.
After sitting through a few of this summer's offerings I can't believe I even nit-picked elements of Watchemn.

Well, I'd like to say I'll be getting the Director's Cut, but it seems that it is unavailable in the UK on Blu-ray or DVD.

:(

Here's where I get ridiculuously nitpicky. I can't get this because of the "blood on the Doomsday clock" logo that they stupidly came up with for the film since they couldn't license the smiley face - it makes no sense at all, it just doesn't work as the same symbol. Its gotta be, imho, one of the dumbest pieces of marketing ever. The clock itself would have been fine but to me its so out of place and obviously trying to take the place of the smiley face, with the Comedian's blood on it.

And I don't want it on the base of an Owlship "statue".

Sorry for the rant, continue with your scheduled programming.

Well, when everyone died at the end of the comic the clock was covered in blood, so it kind of works.

Uh, you do realize that the smiley face button with the Comedian's blood itself represents a "5 minutes to Midnight" doomsday clock, right?? Hell, even the eyes on the smiley are the exact same shape as the minute markers on the clock.

The comic version of the smiley has the blood-stain in shape of a pointy minute-hand. For the movie, they went with a nuclear mushroom cloud, which makes just as much sense (and looks much more realistic). Putting that on a yellow Doomsday clock makes for a pretty cool WATCHMEN logo, imho.

The bloodied clock is the perfect substitute for the smiley.

I did realize it but I'm also convinced now; I'll ease up on the bloody clock.
I can admit when I'm wrong! :D
