Great news! As usual I totally forgot about the newsletter and rushed right over to see what had been announced. I'm so glad to see Sarah Connor!

Now I'm off to see what everyone else thinks of the Spidey Vs. Venom Dio! Wish me luck!

This is indeed a Trevor Grove sculpt.... In fact, this likeness was attempted separately by Oluf, Mat, and myself, and none of us could nail it... She's VERY hard to sculpt for some reason. This was Trevor's first 'test' sculpt for Sideshow and he knocked it out of the park.

"Trevor" is what SS calls their new 3D scanner. it HAS to be.

I thought maybe it was Trev because he is so good with the girls, the lips, etc. Indeed, Sarah is no easy task and she has never been done before so getting it right was key. Now I know why it took so long for this announcement to come and why this thread started by yours truly has lasted so long since Tom G's hint that we will see a Sarah this year back in April.


Congrats to Trevor and many thanks to the entire SSC team for making this happen for us...

Andy, how often are more than one artist given a shot at sculpting the same figure? Or does everyone submit a sculpt and the best is picked? I never thought about how an artist was chosen to do a particular piece.

Is it just me or does it look like there is "real" hair under Sarah's cap...

Could it be? Like bangs, right? Maybe she has real bangs and a real ponytail. That would solve the 'ponytail' issue people have with choosing an exclusive.

ooh! i'd LOVE if it had "real" hair!!! don't care much for sculpted hair unless it's really short.

Amazing! Trevor really does seem to have the magic touch right now. Padme, Angelina and now Sarah Connor -- all home runs! And of course Hooper too!

That's kind of cool that all you guys had your go at it. I would love to see a line-up of those sculpts.

Sarah was toned in the movie and not big at all. SS's female body is perfect for her. The size of the noggin looks right as well.

Anyone gonna buy a extra and make a T1 Sarah?

Yes EF and Wor-Gar, toned, not really overly buff...

Maybe Wor-Gar may have something there re: Exclusive.

Will we see her weapons bag?

Compared to Sarah in T1, yes. Complete overhaul.

It looks as though SSC may have to work on her neck a bit though, seems too small/diproportionate to her head in the preview pic...

Yeah, wouldn't want to see CF in a slave outfit now.

BTW, I do believe we will see a T2 John Connor...

Why? Because SSC has to come up with a smaller "boy" body for the LOTR sixth scale Hobbits and they can use that body for JC.
