"Then we fight in the shade".

This is definitely up to Hot Toys to bring us the ultimate 12" figures. MediCom isn't up for the task, the figure would like horrible IMHO not to mention have an anime slant. Sideshow would have all the joints exposed and that's look awkward on something like a Spartan and HT's rubber body seems to scream for this license. With HT moving more towards modern pieces like Pirates of the Carribean and Prison Break maybe we'll get a good Leonidas at least....

Well, my Neca Leonidas figure shipped out a few days ago....I'll post pics as soon as I get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I would LOVE to see HT snag the licence for 12 inch figures of the Spartans.... Oh to have Leonidas, Xerxes, Stelios, and the rest of the main cast in 6th scale... :drool

Very easy though... HT muscle body, some simple clothing and armor, and a decent head sculpt... Instant Spartan! If they don't get the license I just might try and get one made. :rock

I don't know.

I already have tons of Half naked male statues in my room. I don't know if I can handle another one, let alone a hot 6 pack Spartan.

because they make rubber muscular bodies that hide articulation points...
I've been saying this all along, Hot Toys has to make them. They wouldn't even have to redesign their basic muscle body, just add a head, helmet, cape, grieves, sandals, shield, sword, and leather underwear and you're set.
And these shouldn't even come close to $100, they're much simpler then Rambo II and he was only $65.
Come on Hot Toys, make them already!

Addendum: I believe the picture I posted is the 7 inch figure.
The 12 incher should be pretty close.
Theyre also doing immortals as well.

You think you could make one for another fan? :D

"Spartans! This is where we fight! This where they die!"
I don't know whether Zack Snyder wrote these lines, but the guy's a genius!

You won't be, NECA makes great stuff and if the 6" figures look great the 12" Leonidas should be awesome.

I really need to read the comic book.

It's awesome...well worth the time... and pretty much exactly like the film. just minus a few scenes here and there. I've had that hardcover for a few years... read it a bunch of times.

And yeah, If I could get some decent sculpts made... Could make the armor out of Sculpey and make a figure pretty easily. Maybe a few... :D

From what I hear, they added a side story with the queen that's not present in the comics.
I haven't seen this yet, it'll have to wait until next weekend. but I did read the comics when they came out, the art is stunning, some of Miller's best.
