thanks. yeah, i have the 12" on pre-order as well. can't wait to get it! i've seen out of package pics of the 7" version and it looks outstanding. you will NOT be disappointed.

I'm not sure about the rest but the line "Our arrows will blot out the sun".... "Then we shall fight in the shade" is actually based on a historic quote from a Spartan Soldier at the Battle at Thermopylae.

What a wonderful day for me!!! Today in the mail I got:
1) 7 inch Leonidas - I am at work now but will post pics when I get home
2) Xerxes 300 movie poster - I have smaller prints of all the movie posters but needed a big Xerxes one - since I don't have any Xerxes figures...yet.
3) Making of DVD with 2 free tickets

Oh wow, I just got an idea. I've got a 3D sculpting program (developed by people from Weta and used in Lord of the Rings and King Kong) and I could probably make a really cool 3D sculpture of a Leonidas or something, that would be cool. I'll have to see.

Sorry for the glare from the flash. The figure comes with 2 different heads (with and without helm), a shield, a spear and a sword. Not bad for around $12.

I think Hot Toys would definitely be the right people for the line, and since they recently got the POTC license I could see 300 being entirely possible. I think that their Muscle body would be an absolute necessity for a 1/6 line to be successful.

The Art S Buck Big Boys would look pretty terrible...

Yeah I've been looking forward to these. They look so much better then the first two Greece soldier releases (the second release really stinks, avoid as much as possible).

BTW, here are some info that HT answered from that TD thread in case you guys are interested.

- HT doesn't have Preadator I&II license yet. HT said if they got the license, they will consider to make Dutch as well :chew

- Rambo 3 coming 2008

- No plan on Alien Queen so far.

- HT also mention in the other thread that they drop the idea of making Cain because it is too complicate to make.

I went to 300 this weekend and I have to agree that if there is going to be 12 figures HT should be the ones to do it. I wouldnt want to see joints ect since there isn't much to really hide them on the costume. A 1/4 PF line of a few of the main Characters would be awesome but how big would a Xerxes be?

No Alien Queen will make the Alien thread go nuts again.
No Pred. 1 & 2 license...yet. It sounds like they're at least really interested in making them. I hope they at least get Predator 1.
