Those Gunmen sculpts look fantastic. I hope they eventually continue the line and release them, I wonder if they were fully approved at that stage?

The Demand for X-files figures I thought was there, I think the reason why the line didn't sell was too many people felt that the cornerstone of the show Fox Mulder, had a head sculpt with a poor likeness and without him, they wouldn't buy the others with the possible exception of Scully.

I really hope Sideshow revisits the line with a new and improved Mulder and Scully from the new movie and possibly any other notable character from the film, and also finishes the TV show series with Reyes, The Gunmen, The Alien Bounty Hunter, Knowle Rohrer, and even though one was never really shown, a 1:6 scale poseable classic Gray Alien (Yea Hobbit body!).
The demand should skyrocket with a new film, especially if it's good.

I just love the new pictures of Mulder & Scully too, Tomandshell! AWESOME!!! Scully is so beautiful!

Great pic! I hadn't seen that yet. I can't wait to see them back in action. Although based on that image I'd say the rumor of the film taking place somewhere in the middle of the series is officially debunked. I miss Scully's short red hair!

Hi Andy!
Love your work. Amazing sculpts! Scully is my fav. sculpt! Totally striking holy! Haha!

Why do you miss Scullys short hair? Now you can do a nice sculpt with Scullys beautiful long hair. I think its really nice, even though its not really Scullyish...

Really looking forward to see the new movie too. Nice to finally realize that it takes plaze in "realtime", yeah.

Anyway. I wanted to ask you about the Lone gunmen sculpts too. Did you design Frohike and Byers?

Another thing. How much influence do you have on The Sideshow guys (can you beg them to continue the X-files line)?

Thanks!

It's been confirmed that this is a continuation set after the series finale. I think the whole "Set during Season 7" rumors were just wishful thinking on the part of a bunch of Season 8 & 9-haters.

Here's a recent quote from Chris Carter himself:

"This is really a continuation of the series, imagining how the characters' lives have evolved,"

I don't know if you can call it debunked, it wouldn't be the first time a film or tv series meant for events to take place during a previously seen time frame and not match continuity like hair and things like that. Time will tell, but for me, you can't go wrong with Mulder and Scully adventures.

Some pictures of Scully and her new hair!
(The first picture is for you, Andy! The other two for me!)

Wow, well I officially take back my original statement... She looks gorgeous with those long locks! Especially in that last image, is that a still from the new movie? Beautiful!

To answer your previous questions, no I didn't have anything to do with those Lone Gunmen sculpts. They look great!

And I have zero influence on Sideshow's production plans unfortunately, but it's a nice thought! :)

in next weeks tv guide, carter says: its a continuation of the series but not the mythology and it will show how the charactor's lives have evolved. same as Guruaskew says. id say that debunks it.

Yeah, I know! Her long hair is great! That picture is from a movie called "Straightheads". Supposed to be weird...

Too bad! Still think youre the one to do the "Scully-long-red-hair-sculpt"!
Yeah the Lone Gunmen sculpts are great!

So what are you up to now, Andy?
Would you like to do a Reyes sculpt?!

I passed on Krycek and Skinner because I was waiting for the non exclusives. I ended up paying $100 a piece on ebay a year later.

I want to say I will preorder the Lone Gunmen if they're released around the time of the movie. I've learned my lesson.

I didnt know that, I didnt really watch the last few seasons of the X-Files, how did they die?

I never saw anyone answer you, so here it is. They locked themselves in an airtight room with someone with a deadly infectious disease, so it wouldn't spread. I am actually a big fan of the 8th season of the show, I even really like Dogget, (9th really hit and miss) but I really disliked the ending of that episode. It was a trite death. Of coarse, you never saw them actually die. You just saw their graves at Arlington. There was a lot of crazy teasing going on that last season, especially with Mulder kind of popping up here and there but not really (that crappy train episode comes to mind). So if they really wanted to bring them back, they could have always faked their deaths. Yeah, it's a groaner, but I wouldn't put that past them.

I was a huge fan of the figure line. Pre-ordered every exclusive all the way from the first release of Mulder, Scully and CMS. Their FBI jackets are amazing. It really kills me seeing those Gunman sculpts. I heard the rumors, but now I see how close they actually were to coming out. Most depressing.

It was a miserable and very disappointing end to the contemporary Three Stooges, but since we never actually saw their bodies...

And speaking of "nerd appeal"... who of us that have every Sideshow X-Files exclusive made, and loved the Lone Gunmen, wouldn't be proud to have a 1/6 scale version of "Eine Kleine Frohike", in lederhosen, for their very own?
