I have lurked, read, and studied posts for many months before trying a serious 1/6 scale Star Wars custom.

Until I had more experience, I copied what other's created and that technique helped me. For example, I made a Weequay that looks almost exactly like this one:

I often go back and read posts going back through years of history so that I can learn from other's experience. I use the search feature if I am working on a particular character. I have discovered the answers are usually here, but I have to seek them out and do research on this and other forums, eBay, 1/6 scale parts websites, etc.

Don't be afraid to try something. I have failed more times that I have succeeded.

Im looking for a weequay outfit for my custom 1/6 weequay and can`t seem to find one im stuck. any help would be greatful

If you could find an "off the shelf" Weequay outfit , then it wouldn't be a custom , would it ? :lol
"The Darkness Predator's" advice is sound . Researching , compiling reference pictures and studying other peoples customs are all part of this hobby and until you jump in and have a go , you'll never reap the benefits of this great hobby of ours . I'm currently working on a couple of Skiff Guards ( including a Weequay ) and the outfits are amongst the most challenging of all the customs I've built ( and I've built a few !) . BUT , I'm taking it slowly and doing a little bit at a time . After all , there's no time limit to building customs and no one has a gun to your head ! Have a go , experiment and if it doesn't work , have a break , re-think it and have another go . I guarantee you'll soon get the hang of it and your skills will grow with each new custom you attempt . Go for it . That's an order ! :wink1:

Is it a screen accurate one or a custom character one? if its screen accurate its hard due to specific parts, but if that isn't what you're after then I usually go for WWII and before desert gear. Just think what they woulda had in the prop shop when filming star wars and it should look like he could be from the movies.

Only one of that outfit offered was by Vivisect and it's long gone. I have one (not going to sell so don't ask) and it's awesome :rock

I think Matt/Spiderogue could make the shirt and pants, he already makes if not the same pants very similar ones.

Looking at the material of the tunic its either soft leather or swade.
It doesn't look too dificult to reproduce, a little stichwork and some gluing.
I'd start by searching ebay for those , even look at womens bags or jackets (they're often a soft leather, bags are often quite thin too).
Try going to your local material stockist, they might be able to point you in the direction of a supplier/company that will have the materials that your looking for.

Unfortunately this is the hardest part of the process, and believe me its worth the legwork to the finnished item if you put the time in first.
It does get easier too, as you go along, you find sites, directions you didn't think of going down, you kind of develope a sixth sense as to where stuff might be, and finally always ,always keep you eyes open, you never know when you might spot something that you can use.

Pants and shirt on mine were just stock items... can't remember where the shirt was from, but the pants were from a Jedi. Boots were from an ignite figure; just thought they looked the part.

please i can find the rest of the outfit.i just need the armor please help andd thank you to who ever creats the chest armor then they can clone it and sell these as they would be a hot seller.

that works for me i dont have the weequay head right in front of me just ask kash kenobi he could supply the leather and studds so when your ready to tackel the job.and sticking with you bet i am your the only one left that does the clothing for our 1/6 family on here were tired of waitng for sideshow to do it.

Keep at it SR; you're coming along quickly with the sewing projects. And there's a lot of need for specific outfit pieces when it comes to Star Wars :duff
