Statue Weta Announces The Hobbit Collectibles License

I'm very excited to see the great items Weta is gonna make. These are going to be great items representing an amazing story by those who worked on the movies.

Bilbo, Gandalf, eagles, gollum, orcs (orcs are orcs), saruman, galadriel, legolas, Sauron, witchking...those sound familiar? They are all in Peter Jackson's version of the hobbit.

And if you're into props, sting and glamdring are two weapons that make an appearance in the hobbit as well as the lotr trilogy.

So like the other members have said, it is in the same universe so you will see many of the characters make a return.

Blablabla...let me collect what I want and I let you collect whatever you want. People here really got some problems if they feel offended just because I don't collect something they do.

And I never said that it's only LOTR characters. I was refering to the dwarves and young Bilbo etc..

I said that I may pick up characters or creatures of the Hobbit line IF THEY APPEARED IN LOTR TOO.

I excited by what Weta may offer from The Hobbit, especially by eat of props etc as this is my main collectible focus

And I can't see why Boromir is getting such a hard time with what he said! If he wants to only collect pieces that represent characters, places etc that appeared in LOTR only then why not? Please don't tell me Middle Earth fans are gonna go down the OT and PT route that SW fans have gone Where we're devided by preference of source material!

That would be a fundamental understanding of the universe to me. But I don't claim to get the average collector mentality when it comes to this stuff. Maybe I'm just too old now. To me, the new and old aren't any different, its all TOLKIEN as that is the passion more so than any specific license of realization of the vision. For example, I have the Howe pieces, Jackson movie pieces, and collectibles from the animated films as well.
