Just got notified will get charged and ship in 10 days...who's getting this?

When I do get this later this month I hope...Will Photo of course...curious about the new base and compare it to My Smaug that still has the wood base on that's in flawless shape( I refused to replace it)

Just recieved nice email that I will be getting one of the first to ship worldwide...cant wait

looking forward to see inhand pics of this with the new (and improved?) base.

Just picked up mine. Base is very heavy and classy, has a brass plate for the edition size. Statue itself is very light weight, not sure if it's made out of plastic. Ties are in awkward places so hard to take it out of the box. Looks great, but a little disappointed in the flimsy make of the statue.

What the statue represents and the size is fine....I do prefer a wood base...I just love a rich dark wood whether it's in a floor, furniture etc...Base is solid and has got some weight to it....the statue in itself is not a polystone ...If this was a heavier material I believe there would be a great risk of breakage...Packaging was nice and only two ties were involved...now if someone who bought this was one of those "Gotta open the box and get my piece in under 30 seconds guy" then he or she could be in trouble and could break a spine...I think the statue itself is made of some type of mighty Strong plastic-combo material just like the Smaug was and the spines are slightly flexible(but still Very breakable)....The two best poses for it I think are the one facing direct at the Fell beast and the Witch king and the pose from the right of the statue where you can see Eowyns front and what the Nazgul is doing...Any other angle and basically the wings are blocking something....I like it...I've loved LOTR since reading the books about 40 years ago...and for now it's a rare piece...Total ES 300...Will it be a sellout?...not for a while anyway due to price...Nonetheless a great and different piece...I really truly wish I were a rich man and could afford the Real Bronze versions of Smaug and Eowyn/Nazgul...

I think the statue itself is made of some type of mighty Strong plastic-combo material just like the Smaug was..

I'm pretty sure both are polystone, other then maybe thin things like fins.
Eowyn is likely just light, because it doesn't have a large mass, the SS Eagle vs Fell Beast dio is much the same, the Eagle really doesn't weigh that much.

This pic of a smashed one looks a lot like solid polystone

I don't know, the photo of the smashed one doesn't look like the same statue, then again it's really smashed up that one couldn't distinguish it from another dragon statue. The statue is super light but I agree that it's a great looking piece. It's perfect for earthquake country actually, so one piece I can keep after moving to CA.

This material feels so lightweight it just doesnt feel like Resin/stone...
