Not sure about secondary retailers, tho most items sell via Dark Horse in the US, so doubt these will be any different.

As for shipping, pretty much everything other then the local hand made items (ie the swords, Howe's statues) ship from their local warehouse in the US, UK and NZ. So you shoudl find that if you purchase off the web site, shipping won't be that bad, as it will ship from within the US anyway.

BTW, if you are reading this Tim, I have 178 SSW pieces, close to a complete set and if you can't make 1/6 statues right now, environments would be my preferred line to continue.

P.P.S. No Denethor or Faramir in the entire SSW line is a serious omission. What about 1/4 busts to fill THAT gaping hole?

To have the shields shipped to me (Las Vegas) will be a whopping $8 per; they do have a US warehouse.

These Shields will not be sold via secondary retailers. You can purchase them from our website, or retail store or one of our sales booths at Convention.

We will ship them from our warehouses in the US, UK and New Zealand. So if you live in the US it will be a local shipment from California.

We are having some problems with our website just now. Sorry about that. The IT guys are on it.

Ordered Gil-Galads shield but didn't order the Numenorean shield as i thought that would be on the new Sauron diorama...but it's not! So might order that one too. Won't order the Easterling shield because i've got the statue.

While I'm not privy to any inside info, I think its safe to say that if the first 3 sell well (which from what I can tell, that won't be an issue), Weta will totally be making more of these and I have little doubt that Boromir's would be on that future list.

A little hesitant to speak freely, knowing Tim is reading this but edition size of 2000? These shields are very nice but at this edition size I'm not worried that they'll sell out anytime soon. The weapons plaques took some time to sell out and that was at the height of the LOTR hoopla and most of those have barely retained their value. At an edition size of 500 I would have been worried and jumped on them. This way I'll wait for the secondary market (I think, I may be too eager to get my hands on that Numenorean Shield ), especially since I got a thing for the Silver Tree.

That's real silver-leaf BTW.
