I agree with you guys, very expensive, but ****, when you see the detail and love thats gone into these things, you just have to find a way to own one! Original for sure!

The sets out for me, unless heavily discounted (which i doubt), but I must own at least one.

The price is not set in stone as yet, as they are still at the manufacturing logistics stage, so keep the feedback coming , there maybe movement in price.

But seriously, for those who've seen them in person, they were never going to be cheap, and I guess low edition sizes will compensate (Galactiboy, your powers of forsight are uncanny).

With regards statues based on the characters portrayed in the series, no news as yet, but I for one have expressed my interest in such collectibles, and I would be very surprised should Weta not follow through.

I still say that if you only get one get the FMOM

The FMOM is my favorite of the three, edging out the Manmelter by a scrap of Tremontium, with the Goliathon coming in third.

I've always been a big fan of rayguns — I still have my original 1954 Hubley Atomic Disintegrator repeating cap gun from my childhood — and I will definitely be adding at least one of these WETA beauties to my collection.

Perhaps one of the board retailers could offer us a price break if we all pool our resources for a group purchase...

i would LOVE a set, but that would totally depend on price.
you could potentially put me on that list too

I hope that Weta tries this new concept of actually sticking to the announced edition size.

Hmmm, or even take a tip from GG and send them through the roof (I know, never a good thing), but just a slightly higher ES may bring the price down some.

Tell you what guys, I will order 5; and if everyone does this we should be able to artifically create some demand here ...

...Seeing as how I have had alot of nice things said to me today, here's one tidbit anyways. Attendees of Comic Con 07 in San Diego will be able to buy Rayguns, which I suspect will help them out a great deal in vapourising their way to the front of the inevitably long lines to get into over-packed presentations and pick up exclusive items that are the mainstay of the show every year.

In another post he mentioned that Weta will have an Exclusive for SDCC '07 (not necessarily anything to do with Raygus), but couldn't say any more about it.

I, for one, prefer a higher edition size and lower prices. Ouch!!! That's really pricey for something without any real franchise or licensing. It will fly once and disappear... not sure if it's worth taking a deep plunge.

So according to the latest Weta newsletter, it is going to be 1 flat rate price of $690+Tax (US) each.

Suppose that is better than a range. I was expecting the FMOM to be the one that was going to be $800.

*sigh* Now to decide if can spend that much on it.... it just looks so darn cool.
