Try striking when the iron is hot, there is a new doctor coming for the holidays for instance, launch an interest thread the week of the episode, when people are still excited.

I take it from that number that I probably don't want to know the price if I wanted to commission a high end costume for myself

Who did the Sarah Jane costume?

I think the hair is a major improvement from the earlier Trouts and the expression is great. Pat had very "lived in" features and that sculpt captures it very well

The recorder looks excellent as well, not sure I'd want to paint one though 'cos it looks like it'd be tricky.

That when you opt for the "FURY FROM THE DEEP" recorder that was plain and not painted (laugh).

I am taking a lot of pics preparing for our upcoming Deluxe smiling second Doctor push, and also just goofing around (boys with toys).

Any chance of getting on the K-9 List still?

Gotcha on. No worries. I was told I could have him ready to sell by Christmas last week if I wanted him without a removable side door.
Now, we're talking Doctor who here, which I am obviously really **** about, and said no way, it's too important. I mean, he's 1:6. How lame would it be that large and not at least have an opening side panel to monkey around with.

We were also led to believe the side panel had been cut off MONTHS ago .
The master had the door made separate. He said when he cast the parts no longer fit.

I told him we unequivocally needed it by last Oct because I wanted it out BEFORE Big Chiefs Tom was out and enough is enough. If you end up seeing K-9 released without a removable side panel you will know I gave into rage and finally said "just get the damned thing out). He does have a bottom removable panel to access his hollow insides for those who want to pimp it out.

Here is a pic I wanted to share of Lasirenofires AMAZING Fourth Doctor scarf she made for me. When I finally get a BC Tom and replace the head with ours, I will also be replacing the scarf. Please PM her if you are interested in one!

I briefly owned the Big Chief figure of Tom and the scarf was one of several things that I felt looked poor for a figure of that pricepoint.

It couldn't hang naturally on the figure due to the wire, the colors were all faded and it wasn't even knitted, it just had the stripes printed on a bit of cheap fabric....not acceptable for a line that's supposed to be competing in the same high end market as Hot Toys.

Unfortunately it was far from the only issue with the figure.

I resold my Signature Edition 3 days after recieving it and made a profit of £180 so all things considered, the experience wasn't entirely disappointing.

So onwards and upwards as they say,

Thank you so much for the feedback! I tried really hard to match the colors and adjust the pattern for 1/6th based on the doctorwhoscarf.com pattern. The scarf is 100% wool, too.

Like Rick said, if anyone is interested PM me. My household has spent the last two weeks sick which has put a halt to my work on these, so there likely won't be any available until mid-to-late January.

Thank you. I'm very humbled by the compliment. When I first started this I wanted to contact him and ask for his advice on how to go about it and was saddened to find he's no longer active on the boards. It was seeing Inkeddalek's work that encouraged me to try it for myself.

On Rick's suggestion, I wanted post some more pictures of the Fourth Doctor's scarf. The scarf is these pictures is a Season 12 pattern, but the ones I'll be making will be like Rick's with the Season 14 color pattern.

Likeness is good, but needs more personality. The lack of personality was one of the reasons I read people sold or returned the big chief version.
