These are all great likenesses of HF, but I'm not feeling any of the expressions.
the trad is a little TOO serious
The WTF looks more PO d than astonished. May be it's just that an accompanying eye expression is missing
Why do people keep asking for a removable hat version ?? It's really leaving me shaking my head... I just don't see how this could work... The hot toys gave him two hairs for this very reason so the hat fit on and looked proper.
The hat is going to look huge... Trust me guys what you want is just a hatless head and then you just have a loose hot toys hat around to pose with him if needed.
Ray,
to explain a couple of factors
In this case since this is an independant artist, the removeable hat is not a deal breaker for me.
1--What I'm suggesting is at least the cut off at the forehead, ship separately, glue yourself 2 pieces. The reason being it is easier to paint the forehead, eyebrows, eyes etc. Paint the hat separately and then glue on. Velvet Morning did it this way with Blondie. Mr Barlow did it this way with "Harmonica"
2-- Draw backs of the fixed one piece hat. ---It's un-natural. We all get "hat-hair" when we've taken off our hats. If the head was molded witht the hat on there is no way to tilt it forward or backward as someone earlier suggeted setting the hat tilted back. Frontline made a series of "Good, Bad & Ugly" characters. The hats sit fine on the "hat-hair" heads. If you wanted to tilt hat back, a little dremeling and reinforing and you can make it the way you want.
3-- I recently had a little accident with a molded on hat Indy. While putting the head on the neck-ball joint, I pressed down a little hard, I guess in the wrong place and cracked the hat brim
4-- If Indy were to fall victim to a shelf dive: Removeable hat would probably fall off and land separately; attached hat---all of the weight will land right on it.
5-- I you don't want to remove Indy's hat, you can always glue it to his head.
I don't think anyone is asking for a stylish hair-do, unless they want to do the Professor Indy. The other fella wants one for the map room turban.
Hope this explains this point of view.

The only thing i notice that may be throwing off the likeness is the eyes. IMO they need to have a bit more of a squint. I did a slight PS manip in the second pic.
I understand that you will not be making a removeable hat, but will the head and hat be shipped separate to make it easier to paint ?
I thought that the removable hat was going to be made later on??!
Any plans in the future for TOD and (especially) TLC Indy sculpts?
But I'm really confused with the look of the joint area. I think it could be made MUCH more better to fit HT Muscular Body. Now it looks way far from perfection, like it was made by HT in far-far 2006.
You mean something like this?
This is quick mock-up, but yes, it will be shipping in two separate parts for easier painting.
