Last CD I had in the car was disk 1 from the misfits box set. Right now I'm steaming the new Otep song ghost flowers I believe it is. :emperor

Well last night my crappy neighbor who lives below me started singing some horrid song off key over and over and over again. It's like 2:30 in the morning..I wanted to kill him!! I can handle it once or twice but when he keeps singing it at the top of his lungs for an hour straight...it becomes too much...so what did I do??? I turned my speakers so they faced the ground and blared TOOL - that got him to shut up quick...but being that I had not listened to Undertow in awhile..I kept it in and have been listening to it all day. :)

Deckard: Shakes? Me too. I get 'em bad. It's part of the business.
Rachael: I'm not in the business. I am the business.

Not yet, but it's on my list. I think the single is great... I love the video.

Alice, do you have the 2 disc version of the Blade Runner soundtrack?

I wish! Batty, I suppose you are referring to the Esper Edition MK 1 of the Vangelis soundtrack for Blade Runner. It is said to be the most complete soundtrack of the Blade Runner movie. Unfortunately I don't have that one. Since that version was never licensed for public release, it's hard to get.
I have the '94 original soundtrack release. (and I'm happy I've got that one!)

While we are at it, there's something I've always wanted to discuss about the soundtrack.
Right after Deckard get's rejected by Rachael, talking on the vid phone in Taffy's bar, there's a song that really sounds like OMD's 'Junk Culture' from the eponymous LP released in '84. So I wonder, if that could be one the reasons why Vangelis' original soundtrack was only released years later, lacking some of the tracks that can be heard in the movie, including the OMD-like song. Although I don't know, I always thought the track was not on the original soundtrack for copyright matters. I never found a descent explanation for the fact that not all of the outstanding music heard in the movie is officially released on CD. The only way to get it all, is the unofficial 2CD "private release"... Do you know anything about this?

I don't have the Esper Edition, but I do have the 2 disc "Off World Music" version with 25 tracks. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the Taffy Lewis bar song. I think it's on the Esper Edition. Is that the one you have, Pix?

You're right about there not being a decent explanation about why certain songs aren't on the soundtrack. I'm hoping with the re-release of the movie this year, we'll get also get a new version of the soundtrack.

I do have the Esper Edition but the tracks have different titles than on the traditional soundtrack (the titles seem to be names after the cue they were composed for).

It does have "Taffy Lewis Nightclub" :)
