Hey Batty and other soundtrack fans, what are some good electronic synth soundtracks in the line of Oldfield's "Tubular Bells"(exorcist), Tangerine Dreams' "Thief", etc?

Thanks.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never been a big Tangerine Dream fan. And I don't know of anything that sounds like "Tubular Bells". Which is a great soundtrack, btw.

Two of the best electronica/new age soundtracks to me are Blade Runner (of course) and the Complete Original Score to "A Clockwork Orange" by Wendy Carlos (Not the soundtrack, which is different).

I'm also a fan of Popul Vuh. They scored a few of Werner Herzog's movies.

Wendy Carlos' work on Tron is among my favorite soundtracks, I'll see if I can track that down. I'll have to check out the Blade Runner too since both y'all recommended it. Anyone like "The Warriors" soundtrack, that opening theme is one of my favorites.

Also, a great sound track is Peter Gabriel's for "Rabbit Proof Fence" (I think the album is actually called "Long Walk Home".)

I've never given much of a chance to Syd with or without Floyd. I listened to Relics when I first discovered Floyd and was like no thanks, I'll just listen to Animals, Wish You Were Here, et al a million times, so I have never picked up Piper at the Gates of Dawn or a Syd solo album.
