Just how disgraceful is it that not one of Ennio Morricone's Dollars Trilogy tracks was ever even nominated for an Oscar? Even worse is the fact that he's never even won one at all. He's merely been given an honorary Oscar. That was big of them.

He has won 5 BAFTAs though. The BAFTAs also didn't nominate him for his Dollars music but at least they honoured the great man on several different occasions unlike those stinking smelly poo-laden Oscars.

It's a travesty he never won for those movies. He should have a dozen Oscars. His body of work is tremendous, especially in westerns. Just the GBU theme with its iconic whistling, should have been enough to win an Oscar for best soundtrack. Yeah the Oscars have no clue.

Awesome movie. One of my favorites too. Memorable theme that most people don't know it's by Morricone. Just shows how versatile of a composer he is.
