Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Ah the good old days of Star Trek where even just getting the ship out of the space-dock was treated as a big deal. I love it, it all seems very realistic.

K well one bit was silly. They're trying to deceive Khan about how damaged the Enterprise is, they know hes listening to their communications so Spock talks in code: 'if we go ''by the book'' admiral, like Lt.Saavik, hours would seem like days. The situation is grave', paraphrasing now because I can't remember the exact quote, 'we will not have main power for 6 days, auxilliary power has also failed'

Ermm...how the **** does the intellectually superior Khan not manage to crack that code talk??

Star Trek III

Hilarious how Kirk watches Star Trek II to find out that Spock mind melded with McCoy before he died. Amazing that the ship's ''CCTV'' captured the exact footage, from every changing angle, that we the movie audience watched.

If memory serves they pull the same thing in Star Trek IV when the Federation council is viewing the destruction of the Enterprise in III. They watch all the same footage exactly as it plays to us, the moviegoer...as though theres cameras randomly floating in space.

Watching III's ''cantina'' scene now.

That space station is cool, the effects for it stand up well. Enterprise entering the dock is an incredible scene.

I watched that last night and really enjoyed it.

I saw that in the cinema and fell asleep. Maybe it'd have OK watching it at home but just not something I care to see at the cinema, especially when theres other films out I'd rather have seen.
