Hi again guys!

I would collect a lot more if I could but I had to pick and choose what I wanted so I could limit my collection mostly to movie Characters.

I gave up any Star War pieces, any of the girl related pieces such as Adam Hughes and Marvel stuff and also any Hot Toys figures. The only true marvel statues I have are Spiderman and punisher Comiquettes and Hulk PF.

Did you give up anything to be able to limit your collection or you just buy whatever you like?

i buy what i like............but saying that, it really has to resonate with me. otherwise i feel like im just jumping on the bandwagon & stuff would pile up. like the 100th clone release.................:chase

I gave up on collecting Star Wars Prequels and focused my collection on Original Trilogy Imperials. On Terminator I only collect Endos. On anime I mostly collect Shirow Masamune stuff.

I pretty much have to focused to movies I like. I like Statues and I have a few Helmets and mini-busts too. Just trying to create a nice collection and display for my future house.

It has been really tough, but I limit myself to television and film (no comics or videogame stuff etc.).

Sold of nearly 2/3 of my Star Wars collection. Now select SW core characters, Doctor Who Toys, and The Hobbit (if anything 1:6 comes out of it) are all I collect.

I stick with 1/6 ANH SW, Indy and Comic Book movies.... that being said I have ROTJ, ESB, Terminator, Predator, GI Joe and LOTR figures (and others) that don't fall within those limitations.

i do my up most to stick to Hot toys these days, i had to give up star wars totally and my weapons collections its just all getting very costly.

I haven't really given up anything. I really only bought marvel from the beginning, but I do have a couple movie PFs and I have the predator LSB on order

i know people that collect Marvel only. Marvel seem to be the collectible that gets the most value in the secondary market, but I really love the movie related stuff, except when I get something like Iron man maquette that is Marvel but movie related.

I do not collect 1:1 busts, although there are great ones out there, no Hot Toys, Enterbay or Star Wars.

No girls comiquettes and no LSB....except Meg Mucklebone and the upcoming Predator...

Very limited amount of Marvel pieces.....

I gave up my high-end NBA cards, figures, memorabilias, etc. and other old collection of mine just to focus on Hot Toys nowadays..

Since the get-go of my collection(s), I've always been a choosy or picky buyer. It's worked out well, for the most part, but makes it difficult when trying to trim down the collection. I don't have many "spur of the moment" figure acquisitions, so it's hard to select figures to let go, when forced to sell.

I presently have a lot of different themes going on. Aviation, military, Star Wars, LOTR, Sci-Fi films (Predators, Aliens, etc...) and classic film characters, such as as Indy, Rocketeer, etc... Whatever strikes a special chord with me, basically.

I used to collect NECA figures and basically some premium Formats that I really liked but unfortunately with a limited budget I decided to focus solely on the 1/6th scale figures instead.

The biggest ones I had to give up were the Sideshow G.I. Joe line (still debating whether or not to pick this up again) and the Soldier Story figures.

Now I'm just focused on the Hot Toys figures and I'm trying to limit myself there too.

I focus mainly on the movies. I try not to buy over three figures from a line except Star Wars but I still only buy OT characters & because there's still so many I only focus on the bad guys. I like to buy the odd mixed media statue here & there, my last one was Gandalf the Grey because I felt he could be a stand alone piece to cover the whole trioligy & the Hobbit, also because I felt he looked amazing.

Guys in suits... just don't get it. One exception though was Rod Serling.

Hate this arguement.

Guys in suits :

James Bond
Scarface
Pee-Wee Herman
Gordon Freeman
Iron Man
War Machine
Batman
The Joker
Two-Face
Scarecrow
Godfather

Hell Indy in Last Crusade puts a tie on his leather jacket outfit and it functions as a suit.

You have god and a wall of terrible movie action figures, how can u not get it? :lol It's character selection.

And how is a guy like Rick from Walking Dead in sheriff uniform or Jack Torrance from The Shining, in a red jacket and jeans any more exciting then The Joker with a Bazooka?

I think he means boring suits, like Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark. The Joker wears a purple suit and has a white face, so he's considerably more dramatic.
