Legendary? Oh jeez, that sounds expensive. I'm scared.

Oh by the way, you get my PM? I think I sent it earlier today.

I did, and I forgot to respond. :doh

I was expecting a payment this week that I was going to use for the ornament, I will send it either tomorrow or Tues at the latest.

Ah, gotcha. No worry, no hurry.

I would be concerned about the fragility of a compy maquette. I think the curling of tails is intended to not only cut down overall length, but also make them a bit sturdier (like the Rex maquette).

This is my 3 feet MEG. Would be could to see something like that from Sideshow.

That's not Max Salas MEG is it ? I only saw it once in a mag but it looked smaller...yours looks awesome !

Dan, how sturdy these pieces are is something I would love to know. Like..just how far does the steel peg in the foot extend ? All the way up the leg, into the tail ect...

I think the Compy is pretty possible...most sturdiness is required during shipping for moving one it would only need a long and thin box. For a sitting one..somehting like the Rex maquette's packaging would prob work.

And depending just how far the metal rod goes through the body it could be pretty darn stable.

I was going to say it needed a diver for scale or something...lol

Is the diver a bit too large in the pic they have though..? I thought MEG was supposed t ohave jaws you stand inside of ?

Regardless it's a beautiful piece and one I wouln't mind having myself... ;)

SS has a history of producing a lot of pieces with a good deal of fragility. As long as it's packed well, it's still most assuredly a piece I'd purchase. I'll be sweating bullets prior to its arrival, but it'd still be a must-have.

Want it. Now. :D It would go swimmingly (pun intended) with my other C.megalodon memorabilia. :D

Doesn't look like the Maximo Salas design to me. Granted it's been some time since I've seen it, but that seemed to have less of a visceral approach. That flank wound from a rival meg is a superb touch.

The compy would be great. I can't think of any reason it shouldn't be produced. Granted, I'm sure there's a lot more interest in seeing the SWS designs for the T.rex, Velociraptor, and Dilophosaurus to be done in maquette first, but the compy is very high on my list. It would look great on my office desk. :banana

Remember that teaser pic from before ?

I may have figured it out.. it's pretty much 100% McVey is doing a Spino right ? While I doubt this is a Spino it was said by other fans it maybe a hadrosaur..well how about Ouranosaurus ? With maybe a Spino attacking it ?

Just a thought.

I would personally prefer the ankylosaur be a maquette. I know its awesome in battle, but I prefer the maquettes to the dios. The exception being dinos that wouldn't be as exciting on their own, such as the deino or this tylosaur you guys mention alot (I thought I liked dinosaurs until this line came around, most of the ones you mention are completely new to me!). The ideal situation would be having both because the rex vs. trike dio is awesome, but I hate that we won't get a triceratops maquette.

From what I've been gathering from PT, it sounds like it'll be a maquette. Otherwise we'd be getting more along the pipeline about an Ouranosaurus as well. I'm still hoping it's a Stegosaurus to be unveiled in the VS dio with Allosaurus, or some manner of iguanodontid being assailed by a Utahraptor or two. :rock
