Wow I was thinking of doing the same but then just wondered how long can I keep paying just to keep empty boxes??

Yeah, if you don't have much room you definitely have to factor the cost of potential storage into your "collecting budget". I like to think of it as kind of a tax for being cool and having awesome stuff!

Luckily we really do need the unit to store other stuff, too. If all we had in there was my boxes ... I might have to rethink this whole collecting thing a little!

I'm using the brown shipping boxes to build the largest monument ever to this hobby. The inside of this temple will be lined with the color boxes. Then, when I die, I'll be placed on top, the bottom row of boxes lit on fire. Marshmallows provided to the mourners (if any).

This is the current state of my second bedroom....

It was worse 2 days ago when there were 10 or more boxes stacked in.

I ended up throwing/recycling the boxes of following statue:

Yeh, that cellar was a big buying point when the wife and i bought
the house.. The previouse owners were Italian, so you could imagine
the buckets of olives, salamis and other assorted meats that were kept dowm there. You can still kinda smell it....
But seriously if any of you guys were local I would not have a problem
with anyone wanting to keep a few boxes down there..

Mine are stored in the garage. That's the only place I have for them at the moment. I could never throw them away. If and when the time comes that I need to sell some, shipping would be a pain without them, not to mention the loss of value to collectors.
