I know everyone has thier favorites (GO BOROMIR!) but I really think that the next 12" scale will be Frodo. There are two very important characters in the trilogy and thats the king (whom we got today) and the bearer of the ring of power. I think it most approprite that the next figure be Frodo. What do you think?

:frodo :frodo :frodo :frodo

i'd put my proverbial money on gtg -- think frodo will be a bit further away since ssc will need a new body -- would love to be wrong tho' -- can't wait to see frodo!!!! and boromir, and the rest of the fellowship, orcs, theoden. . .

I'm very curious how Gollum will end up looking.
I don't see any point in them doing Gollum. The big draw of 1/6 figures is the costumes, and Gollum is practically naked.

Gollum is the one figure where the sculpt will make or break the figure. Most other figures can get by with soft sculpts if the costumes kick ass.

I'm looking forward to Gollum. To mkae up for his lack of clothing, I'm thinking we'll b e walloped with a load of accessories. And naked joints never bothered me, as long as they make sense. It is a toy after all. Some of my favorite toys growing up had the ugliest joints ever- G.I. Joe.

Since Gollum would be all sculpture minus the loin cloth, I think it will work much better in the PF line.

I think the next 12" figure will be a baddy. Maybe a Ringwraith.

I'm with everyone else, either Gandalf the Grey or a Ringwraith.

I'd like to see a Morgul Lord Witch King next. Then I'd get my 2 favorite characters right off the ghett-go.

Someone unusual like the fountain guard. I'm tired of seeing the same things over and over again. Hope the price of the next one is more in line with SW. This hobby is mighty expensive, should have gone back into photography.

The problem with nakedness in a 12" is the joints. Gollum would look great as a PF but small.

I do remember reading somewhere that Sideshow has already been developing a number of different body types and sizes, so I think Hobbits may be closer to production rather than later. I do think that Sideshow will attempt to show diversity in the line early, giving us a non-human character. I suppose GTG counts in this category too, but given the Orcs, Hobbits, Uruks, this line could be pretty diverse. I also thought Sideshow would try to show some diversity with Star Wars too, but like the Modern Horror line being renamed "All the Jasons", this could easily be "All the Jedi"!:wacky : I am really pulling for Frodo, even though Sam is my favorite (can't wait for 1/6 scale pots and pans!)
