No reason to wait until May, it's the 30th anniversary right now. Just give us some news already.

I hope this line didn't get lost somewhere between the 4th Joker and the DX John Connor.

If it got lost it would have been due to the poor reception of Kane and Dallas I imagine, they didnt exactly sell like hot cakes or the USCM.

The USCM didn't sell well at the beginning either.
But I think it's more a case of too many things coming out at once. I mean, the economy has been on a down-turn for months now and there's a lot of cool collectibles out there vying for people's money, so it's not easy to fork out the cash for something that is not as "en vogue" as the Batman collectibles...

I love the spacesuits that HT have done for the ALIEN line. I just can't justify the expense for anyone other than Ripley. So, I'm on the bench until they release her.

That, plus the fact that when the marines came out, Hicks, Vasquez and Apone were $80-$85 each as opposed to the $135-$180 figures are at present.

Well, I think what killed interest in the first two figures was lack of character likeness with Kane, which undoubtedly spilt over onto sales of Dallas. Too bad no one has made a John Hurt custom Kane replacement head; that might respark interest..

I think a Ripley (complete with cat carrier for Jones) and an Alien would be a safe bet sales wise, though. I know I would buy them. The other characters would be riskier.

If thats the case then it might heppen again with Predator Dutch and Billy.

Funny you should say that, I bought some gray sculpey and last night just finished a custom Kane sculpt. I did one before but used the pink sculpey and it wasn't that good, but I'm extremely happy with this version. I resculpted the face only, so the custom will come with the HT headcover; I hope to post some pics of it in the next couple of days to get final feedback for minor tweaks and then offer them for sale in the next couple of weeks if the demand is there. :D

Nah. No disrespect to Tom Skerrit but a figure based on Arnie is going to have more pulling power to have people buying it on its own merits rather than having people being put off by looking at the other one that doesn't have the likeness. Mind you neither Predator figure is sold out yet.

You know, the interesting thing about the MMS DX Joker, as the line's debut, is that in the description they EMPHASIZE the screen-accuracy of the Joker's outfit, headsculpt, etc.
Every detail captured.

So is it possible that Humans & Aliens in that line will be PAIN-stakingly accurate?
Let's put it this way, if we're putting the money up, they damn well better be. W/ the QUEEN & Giger's ALIEN, we better get some serious accuracy ratings, up in the hi 90% percentile range, or I'm a' be taking a trip to Hong Kong with boxing gloves... :monkey4

Believe it or not, I could also see us getting a re-release of other characters like the T-800 w/ some added facial details & a "chrome" finish... MOVEABLE EYES!!! I'm sorry, I own three of their original release, but I would totally cash in on that...
I've been known to be a sucker w/ Toys & Women, however :banana

I don't have any inside info or anything, but considering that John Hurt seems not to grant his license for anything, they probably wanted to avoid any possible trouble by making it look totally different. I'm surprised that the Predator Billy figure seems pretty close, aside from the hair color.

We need an announcement from Hot Toys for all three of these:

Big Chap
Ripley in Lucky Star Spacesuit
Lambert in Blue Spacesuit (and proportional to the boys!)

:D
