What happened to HT A L I E N line?

Well I'm guessing again... maybe HT will release their May newsletter announcing the "big chap's" release date late 3rd quarter early 4th. I was wrong when I thought HT would release the alien in May...

The perfect Alien figure would be one where they manage to get the jaw right with streching translucent tendons, and the teeth on the tongue with the ability to open and close. Posability would be that you could get it on the stoop pose etc. Or they could just go for the cover of Giger's Alien.

don't worry. they will come out with that as the DX version 6 months after the original release.

Seriously, I think HT shot themselves in the foot a bit with this whole DX thing. Many may want to wait out the first release rather than risk buying a figure that becomes obsolete in 6 months.

I know exactly how they could 'improve the figure' -

A) make it film accurate unlike every other HT alien

B) make sure it can be assembled without the necessity for extreme force like the dog alien and

C) quality >>>>ing control!! Ensure it won't break and that the feet won't fall off by simply lifting it up

yea this is more or less what I was talking about. create a better body and stronger material for the rubber part of the body. and maybe have it come with some accessories or something, who knows.

I just hope its better than the 1/4 bust. While that was a nice looking piece, it just wasn't the BIG CHAP to me.

Its not actually the alien I'm looking forward to.
Although even more unlikely its people I want , there alot of alien statues and figures but barely any statues or figures of the human characters.

I sent them countless mails with reference pics, links and ideas on how to articulate the figure while maintaining the best possible level of accuracy.
They even answered a couple.
It's just a matter of them actually wanting to make it accurate. Medicom did, NECA did it. It's time consuming, but it can be done.

Honestly...I'm really hoping for an accurate version myself.

But...I REALLY REALLY wish they'd quit using the rubber junk and go with some type of plastic.
