After Haunted Mansion :)yess:) and the Lovecraft flick I'm hoping Del Toro still goes forward with his version of Frankenstein. By the same token a "good" re-make of Dracula would be great.

I prefer the classics.

I believe this is one of the major reasons he bailed on The Hobbit.

For years I've fantasized about a remake of " Quatermass and the Pit " , ( I think it was "A Miliion Miles To Earth " in the US). I even have the perfect Professor Quatermass , Sir Ian McKellern ! Both the old versions , BBC original and Hammer re-make, are SERIOUSLY creepy pieces . Del Toro would be the obvious choice of director too .

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a Food of the Gods remake. With modern technology (practical and CGI effects) I bet it could easily surpass the original.

yeah I remember that movie as well, and your right with CG now days they could make some awesome FX and make it way better than the original...if hollywood handled it correctly. Something about those old animal movies kicked ass.

Then you fail. :lol The Aussies spent more money on that movie than any Hollywood studio ever would on a remake of Plan 9. And at this point in time, more "Hollywood Blockbusters" are made outside of America than in. ;)

exactly what am i failing at? the movie "undead" is not a remake of plan 9. if the script was right for a new movie the studio would most likely take another look at it. and what i meant by hollywood blockbuster type of movie is a movie that everyone will see. obviously nobody saw any austrailian plan 9 remake, so, the idea of one being remade in america with a big budget is what i want. Its what the thread asked so I answered.
