What Licenses really need more exploration?

Let's get the licenses HT has, and wastes, out of the way:

-The Matrix: I'm not a huge fan or anything, so I'd never go deep into the line buying them all. But you can't just do Neo and then leave Trinity, Morpheus and Agent Smith aside.
-FoX-Men: No, seriously, how the Hell did they just let this completely rot ? Not even a LOGAN, well, Logan ?
-Raimi-Man: They do 2 Spider-Men, a New Goblin and then... nothing. Where's Ock? Where's the Green Goblin ?
-Batman Returns: Not even a Catwoman...
-Joker: Still waiting on that Arthur.
-MGS: I don't know if they still have the license, but Christ, did they drop the ball completely.
-Watchmen: This is just a venting case, but how the **** do you start off with Silk Spectre and not Rorschach ?
-PS4 Spider-Man: I don't think I'd buy anything since I'm not a huge Spider-Man anymore, but Christ, tone it down with the Spider-Suits and make some villains already.
-Tron: The bike's nice and all, but I'm not wasting 600$ on a plastic bike. Give me regular figures of Sam, Quora, Rinzler and Clu. Then I'll buy your Flynn too.
-PotC: Just do an updated Davy Jones already. And a Barbossa. An AWE Will and Pirate Lord Elizabeth would be tempting.
-Celebs: Where's my Smooth Criminal MJ HT ? James Dean is fine and all, but I need some David Bowies. Preferably the Thin White Duke.
-Sleepy Hollow: Like others have said, how did we not get a Christopher Walken Horseman ?!
-Arkham: Okay, technically it's not being wasted. They made a few Batman variants, a Joker and have a Batgirl and Harley up for PO. But they took their sweet time with it and have such a huge backlog, that with the new Bat-Movies and the games being rebooted, I doubt they'll ever go past this stage. Which is why I cancelled my BG PO. We could've gotten a perfect Catwoman dammit. That Arkham City Batman and Arkham Asylum Joker teaser wait still haunts me...
-Terminator: There's still stuff to do. Maybe rerelease T1 & T2 Arnie, do a T3 one, and then you can do the Salvation figures again, stuff from the Sarah Connor Chronicles and... Yeah, stop there. But still, there's potential.
-Indiana Jones: How this license is at this sorry state is beyond me.

Also, Sideshow's Marvel/DC Comic Lines. Talk about a dissapointment. What were they thinking with those stylistic choices ? They had Doom on the announcement poster and I'm still waiting. Meanwhile Luke "guy in a yellow t-shirt" Cage gets made. They're getting better from what I'm seeing, with that Gambit, but they dropped the ball hard. Where's my Classic Nick Fury and a proper Punisher, dammit ?!

Now, as for licenses in general that were mistreated and wish would get a second chance:

-Mass Effect: We got that crappy 3Zero Shepard, then Legion and that was it. They killed the vidya and they also destroyed the merch. Someone competent needs to pick this up and do some prestige damn figures.
-Halo: I stopped following the news of the 3A (or 3Zero or whatever) figures after some point. It seemed as if nothing came out proper. And also they went into the 343 stuff when I just wanted some OG Chiefs, Arbiters and the like.
-Hannibal: The 3Zero figure is a poor excuse for a Hannibal. And I really need a Mads Lecter. I could even see myself buying variants. I wouldn't buy anything else, but I'd consider him a Minor Grail.
-ValveVerse: I'm sorry, but I'm not paying 150$ for that ****** oversized 6" figure Mondo. Someone needs to do a proper Gordon, G-Man, Chell and the like.
-God Of War: Seriously, how do we not have a Hot Toys Kratos yet ? GoW 1, the God look from 2, a DX from 3 with all of the weapons, the new one. Talk about a waste. And no, I'm not counting the Mondo oversized kids' action figure as a proper 1/6th collectible.
-Doctor Who: Yeah, this is just a personal thing, but just make another 12 for God's sake.
-Uncharted: **** Sideshow for that farce of a figure.
-300: What even are these figures ? HT needs to do a new Leonidas ASAP.

Honestly, DAMToys would do a pretty good job at all of these if HT's too busy with their Troopers.

Now, for licenses I want someone to pick up and make some proper, prestige figures of:

First up, TV Shows:

-Mad Men: Realistically they'd do a Don and that'd be it. And honestly, he's the only one I'd buy. I love Pete and Roger, but I can't be blowing 300$ on guys in suits. But I would pay top dollar for a Don Draper. Maybe even buy a variant or something.
-True Detective: I reckon Rust & Marty would sell like hotcakes. I honestly liked S2 as well, but I can't see Velcoro and Semyon ever happening, even if someone acquired the license by any chance. Still, I'd love to have reprsentatives of S1. If money was tight I'd settle for just Rust.
-Boardwalk Empire: I'd be in for a Jimmy and Harrow, 100%. I liked Nucky fine and all, but we have to choose in this hobby.
-The Young/New Pope: TNP was a dissapointment, but God knows I wouldn't be able to resist any figures. Decked-Out Lenny, Pope Lenny, Mascara Brannox, Pope Brannox, and so on. This will never happen, but a man can wishlist.
-Taboo: I'm actually optimistic about this. BCS has picked up Peaky Blinders, so I can see them doing another BBC show with Tom Hardy. I'd certainly buy a Delaney. He'd have tons of self presence.
-Black Sails: 0 chance of happening, but I love a lot of characters from here. Flint, Silver, Vane, Rackham, Anne, Rogers, Blackbeard. I'd settle for just a Flint.
-Twin Peaks: A Cooper is a must. Dunno if you could take it further, and I doubt it. But a nice DX Cooper would be a Grail.
-Sopranos: Just a Tony would be enough. I don't see anything else selling. Give him the Tux look from Crissy's initiation so that people can put him next to their Godfather and Peaky Blinders figs. Now that'd be a great mini self.
-BSG: I'm not done yet, but I could see myself buying a Gaius. It'd be a nice sort of Grail from the past.
I love a couple of other shows, like LOST and Mr. Robot. House MD too. But the get-ups are a bit too basic. Not even a fine tailored suit. Elliot for example is literally a guy in a hoodie. Jack and the others run around in t-shirts. Hardly worth 250$ each.

I'll do some Movies now. Some are favourites, most I'd buy the figures, some I'm mentioning because I think you could make a figure or two from. I'm trying to make it a mix of wide appeal and classics. I'm assuming people in our hobby aren't in it to buy 300$ Wolverines only, and would be into "guys in suits" as well.

-Star Trek: Alright, I'll be a heretic. I'd buy Kelvin figures of Kirk, Spock and Bones. I'm actually watching TOS/TNG/DS9 now, but I still really enjoyed '09 Trek. Some company is making figures of those old series, but I have no attachment to them yet so I'm passing.
-Blade Runner: Come on, how don't we have a Deckard by now ? I'd also love a K. These two would be Movie Grails, certainly.
-Escape From New York: Yeah, yeah, we got that subpar Sideshow figure. Come on HT, I need a Plissken.
-The Thing: Look, it's Kurt Russell. I'd even buy Santa Kurt Russell from that Netflix flick. Of course I'm in for a MacReady. I guess you could make it an Ultra-DX or something and add tons of
-Dredd: More on that later, but I'm in for an Urban Dredd. Maybe a Stalone too. Plenty of stuff to make from both films.
-M:I: I'd only need one Ethan Hunt, at most, but I suppose that you could milk it a bit.
-Oblivion/Edge Of Tomorrow: I'm putting them together because they were both 10s Sci-Fi Tom Cruise pieces. I'd have added Minority Report too, but he didn't really have a proper "look". Oblivion has the always cool white overalls, and EoE has the mech look.
-Equilibrium: I have a soft spot for those 2000s Sci-Fi flicks like Push, Jumper and the such. Bale from Equilibrium would honestly make for a kickass figure.
-GitS: The anime would've been preferable, but even a ScarJo Motoko would be cool to own.
-Demolition Man: I think there's a market for Spartan & Phoenix.
-The Prestige: I'd buy Bowie Tesla, Huge Jackedman and Magician Bale.
-Inception: A Cobb would sell, let's be real.
-Prometheus: I didn't love it. I didn't hate it. But I still want a David. The suits were great and I want a Fassbender.
-Interstellar: A Coop would be nice just to have a proper Astronaut. McConaughey would be a plus.
-Dune: I'm not really happy with the DUNC casting, and honestly, I hope they stop before they get to God Emperor. But I'd buy a Paul. At the same time, I'd be all in for a Lynch Paul as well.
-The Wolf Of Wall Street: Fratbros and normies love this. Leo in a suit would go nicely alongside my hypothetical Don Draper.
-The Revenant: Survivalist DiCaprio would make for a fun figure.
-American Psycho: A figure has been teased. I just hope it does happen and it comes out good. Bateman's a classic at this point.
-Donnie Darko: I think at this point it has enough cult status for a Donnie figure to sell. Frank The Bunny too.
-Heat: It's Pachino and Deniro. And the film oozes aesthetics. Kilmer would sell too. Everything was on point.
-Taxi Driver: I don't think anyone in this hobby would pass on a Travis Bickle. You could make two versions too, if you want to milk it.
-There Will Be Blood: Daniel would make for a GOAT figure.
-Tombstone: Classic film with some big names and memorable looks.
-Top Gun: It's weird that there's practically nothing from this out there.
-Stardust: Honestly, I love this flick. It's the 2000's Princess Bride IMO. And Tristan would make for a very nice figure.
-Excalibur: Arthurfans would buy the Hell out of these. Imagine them in Diecast.
-Dracula: A Coppola/Gary Oldman Dracula would both make for lots of variants and sell. You've got the Count, London, Armour and Monster versions.
-Van Helsing: People trash this, but honestly, I find it easily rewatchable and with great flair and costumes. Van Helsing, Beckinsale's character and Dracula would be nice for Gothic fans.
-Underworld: Can't say I was ever a huge fan, but I imagine Beckinsale in leather at least would sell.
-Gladiator: Commodus and Maximus would be GOAT figures and appeal to casuals and more hardcore folks alike.
-Troy: I imagine Achilles and Hector at least would sell.
-Barry Lyndon: I can see History fans and Kubrick fans being interested in something like this.
-Collateral: I doubt anyone would buy Max, but Vincent has a chance.
-Drive: Come on, the Driver's a modern classic by now. The Hotline Miami crowd alone would be into it.
-Le Samourai: Purely wishful thinking, but it is one of Delon's classic films and I'd love one on my shelf.
-The Last Samurai: There's some 3rd Party stuff, but I'd love official figures of Katsumoto and Tom Cruise.
-Apocalypse Now: A Kurtz would sell, I think.
-The Great Gatsby: Just going off DiCaprio, really.
-The Assassination Of Jesse James: I'd love a Pitt Jesse James, not going to lie.
-Amadeus: Mozart and Salieri would make for two excellent figures.
-Scarface: I'm not a huge fan, but Montana would be a sure seller.
-Lawrence Of Arabia: Classic movie, real story, room for lots of looks. Come on, this'd be a great one-off.
-The Count Of Monte Cristo: I'd prefer a book look, but I'd also take a Jim Caviezel version too.
-Tarantino: Let's be honest, he's popular. Pretty much every movie of his would sell figures. Dunno if I'd buy any since I'm not the biggest fan, but there's a goldmine there.
-Bourne: I don't know, it's a well known franchise. A Bourne could sell.
-Sherlock Holmes: Ideally a book or Jeremy Brett would be my preference, but Guy Ritchie versions wouldn't be that bad. BBC Sherlock just got too ****** for me.
-Conan: The first Arnold movie's great, but personally I'd prefer a book based Conan. Still, we need a good 1/6th Conan.

I'm doing Video Games now. I'm passing through the stuff I've already mentioned above, like MGS, Mass Effect, God Of War, Halo, etc. And Assassin's Creed and Resident Evil have currently running lines, so they're out too. That said:

-Gears Of War: I don't think I'd buy anything, bar maybe a Marcus, but the original guys would sell. Then you've got the Locusts and you've got stuff to milk.
-Starcraft: Sideshow did 2 figures, but I think at least some Kerrigans would sell.
-Warcraft: Do I need to say more ?
-Splinter Cell: A couple of Sam Fishers would be great.
-Metroid: Just do Samus variations. Hot Toys would be creaming their pants.
-The Legend Of Zelda: Come on now, this is a goldmine.
-Bioshock: We already have a Big Daddy, but personally, I'd kill for a Booker and Elizabeth. Yeah, the first was better but the designs were ace.
-Deus Ex: We need the Dentons and Adam. Jensen himself could have some variants too.
-Prince Of Persia: Just do various outfits of the Prince and you're set. Some really interesting designs there.
-Witcher: Self-explinatory.
-Monkey Island: I'm biased, but I think a Guybrush would evocate enough nostalgia to sell.
-Legacy Of Kain: Never going to happen, but a man can dream...
-Dishonored: Easy money and some great designs.
-Souls: Demons, Dark, Bloodborne, they'd all sell and sell well.
-Knights Of The Old Republic: I've said it before, but seeing as this is my favourite SW Era, I'd kill for figures of those characters. And we know they'd sell. But now it's all non-canon and Disney has its own ******** canon, so it'll never happen. Unless they rip them off and add them in their ****** canon.

Might as well do some Comic stuff too. I'm not adding Marvel/DC stuff from the main universes since eventually they'll get to them through the movies/shows. There are specific costumes/looks I?d want, but that?s for another thread. Anyway:

-Spawn: I've outgrown him, but he'd sell. It'll never happen because Todd's Todd.
-Star Wars EU: I'd buy some Crimson Empire and Legacy characters like Cade. Mara Jade's a must. Darth Krayt, Dark Empire Palpatine too. But, again, these have 0 chance of being made.
-Valerian & Laureline: Not the ****** movie versions. I'd love to have the two of them from the original comic.
-Asterix & Obelix: I'd take movie versions. I just want some high end A&O collectibles.
-Lucky Luke: Same as above.
-East Of West: Hickman had some great designs in there. Death and Not!Same Elliot at the very least would be great. And that's not even getting into the good stuff.
-Batman: Yeah, I'm cheating, sue me... I just want someone to do some good comic based designs, or just move past Batman and Batman...
-Hellboy: This is a goldmine and we all know it.
-Grendel: Purely wishful thinking, but I'd love a Hunter Rose.
-WildStorm: I'd complete Planetary and buy a Midnighter/Apollo too. Maybe a Jehnny Sparks too. I miss that imprint a whole lot...
-Vertigo: Swamp-Thing, Sting JonCon, David Bowie Lucifer and Sandman are musts. Fables too. A V and Spider Jerusalem would sell as well.
-Miracleman: Real potential here.
-Watchmen: We all know they'll keep milking this dry.
-Invincible: It’s been ages since I actively read it, but it’s got some good designs and honestly, I liked the ending. I would surely buy a Mark. I think.
-2000AD: Aside from Judge Dredd which has tons of potential, 2000AD in general has lots of other great strips that I’d love to see figures of. Nikolai Dante specifically, but also Rogue Trooper and Nemesis The Warlock.
Okay, I turned this into a bit of a wishlist post, but... Eh, screw it. One other thing I wish we could get some really prestige figures of is Historical Figures. Alexander, Caesar, Napoleon, Attila, Newton, Da Vinci, Beethoven and so on. That'd be my No.1 want, I think.

I'd love a 1/6 John Goodman Fred Flintstone. There's not a single custom or official figure aside from the 90s toy line.

Also, **** Tracy movie. Give me DT and Flat Top.

Friggen QMX only producing Dean and not Sam from Supernatural. They could have at least another 3 or more characters.

V for Vendetta - we are in need of a quality-high end 1/4 scale V statue. One does not exist. Strange.

Mad Max Fury Road - 1/24 scale vehicles. Would buy every single one from the multiple war parties. Don?t think this will ever happen

Blade runner - original with license
Mad Max - start with 2 - 1 - Thunderdome
Aliens USCM - revision
Top Gun - Origial first
Matrix - Do the rest Hot Toys!

-Invincible: It?s been ages since I actively read it, but it?s got some good designs and honestly, I liked the ending. I would surely buy a Mark. I think.
-2000AD: Aside from Judge Dredd which has tons of potential, 2000AD in general has lots of other great strips that I?d love to see figures of.

That's some list.

Here?s a few on my dream list and companies I think could do them well. Apologies for any duplicates!
Blues Brothers - Blitzway seem to be doing more music themed figs and I still love my Ghostbusters from them. Box them with mic and stand, harmonica, four fried chickens and a coke[emoji6]
Willow - Asmus is doing pretty nice armour. If they keep improving headsculpts, these would be great! Madmartigan and Willow with Elora Danan
E.T. - Hot Toys, but I?d also love a deluxe pack from Blitzway with E.T. Elliott, Gertie and Michael in one glorious box.
Beetlejuice - Sideshow screwed the pooch. Hot Toys deluxe with maroon tuxedo and striped suit versions. Lots of accessories - Handbook for the recently deceased etc.
Galaxy Quest - QMX but they wouldn?t finish the line, so maybe whatever Nanjin is cooking up.
Jaws - Blitzway - again, a nice deluxe box with all three leads.
Die Hard - Hot Toys with swap out bloody feet!
Alien - Hot Toys v2 please
Aliens- Ripley/Powerloader , Hicks and Newt
BTTF- c?mon Hot Toys, Doc in HazMat with remote control and Einstein please!
Dark Crystal/ Labyrinth - Asmus? The Skeksis armour/costumes would look amazing. If their Gandalf hair turns out nice, the mystics would look incredible. Jen and Kira with Fizzgig, Garthim, Landstriders! Bowie, Hoggle and Sarah....Ludo! Ok Asmus, do it!
Gremlins - Hot Toys. Gizmo, Stripe and Billy would be great.....but a 1/6 Phoebe Cates would be appreciated too. Just sayin
***Edit***
Don?t let Star Ace anywhere NEAR these properties[emoji13]

The road warrior, how the heck haven't we got a decent mass produced Mad Max yet ? Even an licensed one would do

I think I can answer this one. Miller does not like to do merchandise licenses.

Maybe there can be another thread started for people?s 1/6 wish lists and this one can remain the one for the existing licenses that people want to see further explored?

Never. This topic has come up hundreds of times over the years, and it always devolves into someone's self-interested wish-list. Because most people cannot read well and are self-absorbed.
