I also prefer the 2004 to War Zone in many ways. I wish we could've gotten all of the things you listed paired with the gritty, graphic violence we got in War Zone. That would've been the perfect Punisher movie IMO.

Punisher & Matrix Rev both clasics IMO. Starship Troopers was panned when it first come out but i think in time people liked it, It was always my Favorite movie from Day 1 though.

The Punisher (2004)

Tom Jane's portrayal of Castle was excellent, and frankly, between this and The Mist, I think the man is painfully underrated. The revenge plots, the musical score, the fight with the Russian, and the practical stunts over CGI bs made this film better than most people give it credit for. I'm baffled by anyone who prefers that cartoony 'War Zone' turd over this film.

Also, anyone who listed AVP:R in this thread deserves a swift cockpunch.

LOL...without a doubt I am certain that I have taken the prize for liking the least popular movie.



But I will never forget watching my son enjoy that movie. And if I had no other reason to like it, I would like it for that.

Wow! When I first saw the post, I automatically had Predator 2 shot in my head!
Yeah, all my friends hate it, but every time I see it on Netflix or on tv, I make them watch it. "Want some candy?" (when the predator says it) greatest line EVER in a movie.

I agree, pacing on the first movie was quite slow and more boring to watch now so, i just skip scenes.

well... I have a couple of guilty pleasures...I don't love them or anything, i just liked them at the time
I liked Godzilla (1998), Daredevil,
I liked Darkness Falls a lot, I never understood the hate, there are way, waay worst horror movies..

I also don't get why Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever got so much hate, it was not as bad as people say, Mission Impossible 2 was Way worst, Ballistic was just okay but is far from the worst action movie ever like so many people claim, I liked it, I don't own it or anything but
