People like watching pieces of **** do things they have to think about. Simple as that.
Yeah, I know, and I've stated multiple times that I appreciate what the film did, and it did make me think, but I just feel that a generation has completely turned Alex into something he's not. I look at it this way: it is the anti-funhouse mirror effect. Alex is a disturbed, depraved individual; the analogy is that he's the distorted image that you see in a fun house mirror. The way some have interpreted him, though, it's like he's not the image that you see in the mirror; he's the one looking into the mirror, and when he looks into it, what he sees is normality. That sounds a little confusing after reading it, so I'll sum it up differently. I don't like that someone who is clearly not a good person is interpreted as some sort of normal, deep anti-hero. What happens to Alex should make you think, not Alex himself.
