Seriously though, I am amazed at the shipping weight. I am genuinely NOT trying to start yet another materials war here, but if it only weighs 30 lbs, and is made of fiberglass ... is that worth a cool $17K?!
That weight has to be wrong. If not.... :monkey4

I am also dumbfounded that SideShow would offer such a piece like this. It's nice and all, but 17K nice? No. And who are they targeting here? The very rich? I wonder what the ES on this thing will be... anywhere from 1-5?

And I highly doubt that a thing of that size will weigh in at 30 lbs. That is an error for sure. Even if it weighed 200 lbs, it's the sheer size that is gonna be killer when it ships. Gonna cost you upwards to a grand just to get it to your doorstep. Unless you're within the State.

One can only imagine now how much the lif-size C-3PO & R2D2 will be. Here's hoping I win the lottery before they're announced.

Well sit tight for now Robby fans, Scifi Metropolis is supposedly doing the half scale version and the price should be half what this one is. I have the half scale Lost in Space B9 robot and it's really cool. A matching Robby half scale would be nice especially since it won't be nearly the price and will do all the same electronics stuff.
