What Sideshow 1/6th lines are left...?

I would love to see them pull there fingers out, now they have a new body developed and start rolling out some Orcs and Uruk Hai, it'd be just the thing to liven the line up and perhaps inject some urgency to finish the Fellowship!

Yeah, right!

OK, carry on!

Really I think that the worst case scenario is that they put the line in hiatus until The Hobbit and then it will start picking up again.

What the reason behind all these lines dying? And why does SS bother doing 1/6 if there just going to cancel it. Its hard to commit to a line that will end with no reason and just a few figures. This is why I'm going to cancel the GI Joe line, that and the price is getting up there with the PF's.

Is the Indy line really history? 2 figures, that's it?

Nah, I can't believe that!
So much potential, just with actual 'Indy' figures alone. SS have always taken time to... procede with a licence, I'm guessing this is just par for the course. I'm hoping they do an old (better) Indy from KOTCS, I'm one of the 6 poeple who quite enjoyed it!

theres a slight chance I wuldve jumped into the Apes line had it continued, but I dont collect half-ass incomplete lines. Which is why i wouldnt start into any 1/6 line ever again ... :monkey1

the Dead is a great line.
Id say the best 1/6 line on the market IMO

I would really like to see a Version 2.0 on certain Classic Monsters as someone else suggested. I've got poor Frankenstein's Monster lying about in between transformation into a more screen accurate representation and he ain't looking good right now.

I'm still waiting for Darkman! I find it funny that a Premium Format arrived while a 1/6 figure is? The film was a hit - even a modest hit on NBC, surprisingly (they aired it three times within about six months, the last two times about a week apart!) - but big enough to warrant a PM over a 1/6th figure? I'm hoping that's not the case and we'll get a 12" Darkman, too!

I really don't think the Indy line is dead, or many other lines for that matter, it might just be Sideshow's expansion as a company, selling so many other products now, resulting in less ability to focus on their 1/6 lines... I hope so. But I wonder how well some figures are selling. Sideshow's had some misses of characters that would have sold better had the likeness been spot on. A lot of people wanted a good Sean Bean sculpt and didn't get it with Goldeneye's Alex figure. I've noticed many responses from people here who won't buy a figure if the likeness isn't very good. I can't help but wonder how many figures ended up in clearance that would have sold out if the head sculpt was right on, or if a better body was used, or if the head wasn't too big, etc.

One sixth is about the only thing I collect from Sideshow. Keep them coming! Mola Ram! Marion Ravenwood! Short Round! Daniel Craig's Bond! Le Chiffre! Keep them coming!

After another viewing of KOTCS, it wasn't quite the raping as depicted on South Park, but still is my least fav of all 4. But I would buy every 12" fig Sideshow would produce.:whip

Has there actually been a hint that there wont be any more LOTR?

Has there been any hint that there will be?

We've always had a figure pending. But with Gandalf shipping, that's it and no solicitation for another figure.

Star Wars
The Dead
we'll see another Joe and more Indy too.

Yeah, having gone through this with other Sideshow lines, when the last announced figure is shipping with no other announcements of future releases, you can turn off the lights and lock the door behind you, it's done.

It seems that SSC has been backing off 1/6 for a while in favor of Premium format and statues. They did a PF for Hellboy II but not even a refresh of the Abe and HB 12".

The partnerships with Medicom and HT cover a lot of their 1/6 slate.

By the look of things. It seems that the 1/6 scale lines might not be the most profitable for Sideshow...
