Other than a handful of good tunes, the Beatles are indeed highly overrated.

Just because you don't like a group doesn't make them overrated. You simply don't like them.

I prefer their pre Sgt. Pepper stuff myself.

Dubstep to me is not actual music, seriously, is the same noise every song,

and, I hate Nicki Minaj and really hate Rianna, Beyonce,

Dave Mathews Band
John Mayer
Evanescence
Nickelback
Puddle of Mudd
Linkin Park
Foo Fighters(everything after the first album)
Weezer(everything after the first album)
G-love and Special Sauce
Mars Volta
Fall Out Boy
New Found Glory
Artic Monkeys
Kings of Leon
Insane Clown Posse
Can't stand any of these bands! I also think its fair to say a band is overated especially when many people try to label them as the best. I mean isn't this thread about our opinions about music? if someone can say they hate something why can't another think something is overated? The Beatles are good but I also think they are slightly overated along with Pink Floyd.

Its become 'uncool' to like U2. Their last album was $h!t I admit and their best is probably behind them but I will always listen to their past greats.
I hated U2 since the late 90's..

I love pink floyd, but you pretty much described the worst list. /i really hate fall out boy, bfall out boy and all american rejects makes me want to hurl..

Agreed. They definitely have some great gems, but not enough to warrant the massive comeback of these last couple years.
Even so, The Beatles aren't so bad to me that I'd put them on this list.

My actual answer is: whatever the hell you call the rave trash you hear on the radio nowadays. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are annoying enough in the pop world -- same goes for Drake and similar artists in the rap world -- but lately every "popular" music station has been plagued by... well, wannabe rave music like I said. It all sounds the same, too. Just autotune, buzzing chorus synths, and a simple house beat (the same damn kick drum over and over and over and over and over). You'll know it if you've heard it. When did this shallow crap escape clubs and make its way into everyday life?

Not sure I agree with Pink Floyd, but these others? Yes. Definitely yes. Not too familiar with the rest of your list so I won't quote it.
On a side note, Linkin Park (back when Meteora was their latest album) actually got me through sixth grade. Then I discovered NIN and realized how misguided I was. My life... changed that day. :monkey2

Not dubstep. It's more mainstream than that. I'm not sure, it's just rave music that artists like Rihanna are putting out these days. But no matter who does it, it all sounds the same. Lyrics about partying and how tonight's gonna be a good night, etc. Just all a nauseous blur to me. At least there was some variety with the typical pop stuff... oh, who am I kidding.

There's like a few songs I like by Pink Floyd I just don't love them like everyone and don't think they are that great, I feel some other bands like BOC, CCR, ZZTOP,the Ramones, Iggy and the stooges are a few I can think of that a really great and never got as much love as Pink Floyd or the Beatles even Rolling Stones another good band thats slightly overated.

I don't personally listen to music on the radio so I have no idea if they are still popular or not, but I couldn't stand having to hear Nickelback and Matchbox 20 every day at work several years ago.

Yep pretty much. Who cares about their new stuff. Their music is legendary. I saw them live in 96'. Amazing performances live.

:lol Being that the group is from the late 70's that doesn't say much :wink1:

Song, Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight.

It scares me, it's creepy and appararently when I was younger (I was 6/7 when it came out) and the song would come on I would hide behind the sofa....so I've been told anyway.
I don't remember doing that myself but I know if it comes on now I either turn it over or put a pillow in front of my face and mute it :lol

Still don't like it, won't listen to it or watch the video. Too spooky.
