Well what about this idea:

Instead of giving Boba Fett a regular and an exclusive version, how about having one of em be Boba Fett and the other be Jango Fett? Same pose, but different color schemes.

A straight repaint wouldn't work. Jango's costume has quite a few differences most notably the armor on his legs. A themed base would be a good idea for the exclusive,Carbon Freezing Chamber for ESB or Sail Barge Deck for ROTJ.

I'd like the exclusive to always be useable, e.g. leia's blaster. a carbonite stand would be cool but a mini-anything i do not want.

But that would require two completely different paint applications for Fett himself as the ESB and ROTJ costumes are very different.

Have I missed something? Has Fett been confirmed?
No, but we don't need confirmation, we were right about toyfair weren't we? :google

If I was the Arch-Duke of Sideshow:

Regular version: ROTJ color scheme & blaster. $350. 2000 pieces.
Exclusive version: ESB color scheme & blaster. $375. 1250 pieces.
"Limited" Exclusive version: ESB colors with polystone carbonite Han. $500. 250 pieces.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not the pricier PFs will receive the "inclusive edition" treatment...

I dont think han in carbonite would be that expensive- wouldn't it just be a slab of polystone... witha plug in base for the lights on the side? :)
I like this idea. And seeing what SS did with the Mummy & Sarcophagus, I think a carbonite Han is certainly doable.

I agree with the first two of course but a third version would be kind of silly. We don't need 3 versions of the same character like that with only minor paint changes. Put the Han in carbonite in with the second option and go with it from there.

My fear is that SS would consider the additional cost for the carbonite Han to be too high, and wouldn't consider it as the exclusive. By making it available as a third option for a higher price, it might actually be a possibility. Otherwise I am afraid that the ultimate Boba Fett & Frozen Han 1/4 scale display just isn't going to happen. :monkey2

I think the cost would be considered too hight to begin with actually. Especially if it's to be done right and we know SS doesn't do it any other way. I could see a piece like that hit around the 1k mark. I don't think they've done a PF piece like that unless you can the Predator piece which was a maquette. I think you got a better chance of it happening with it being one of two options because a third would be flooding your own market.

Could they do a future Carbonite Han PF all on his own?

Or maybe the question is: Would they?

There isn't going to be a frozen Han available in scale with Boba Fett unless Sideshow makes one.

Like I said earlier: look at the size of the sarcophagus that comes with the Mummy. If they can do something that large and intricate, and keep the price to $350, why couldn't they do Fett and a carbonite block without a huge price?

Whatever they do, I'll end up getting. :monkey1

I think Carbonite Han and Boba is doable, and I prefer it as the third option because otherwise I don't think I could afford Fett and I lean towards ROTJ more so than ESB, but I suppose I could always settle for the latter considering I never noticed the difference until someone posted the two pics side by side. I think they were 12" customs.

That looks perfect to me.

I second your idea Tom. Now only if they are weak minded at Sideshow can we use the force to make it so.

I think this has to be a stand alone piece. But once again, Attakus has already done this so it may be up to GL to approve as a single item. If it were lighted, I'd buy one in a heart beat.
