They could do like the Mummy's sarcophagus and have it so you can mount it on the wall.

Like I said earlier: look at the size of the sarcophagus that comes with the Mummy. If they can do something that large and intricate, and keep the price to $350, why couldn't they do Fett and a carbonite block without a huge price?

I see where you're coming from, Batty, but consider that the Mummy figure, itself, is primarily sculpted, whereas a Fett PF (assuming it's produced in a manner similar to Vader) would be a sculpted body with a multi-layered costume consisting of cloth, polystone-cast armor, etc.

When it went up for sale last year, the single Vader figure cost $350, the same price as the Mummy and Sarcophagus set sells for today. I think Fett will command at least the same money, so the addition of a Carbonite Han would drive the price point up considerably higher than the Mummy set.

Cool idea, nonetheless!

Yeah, I see your point. I guess it's wishful thinking on my part. It's just that SS has their claws so deep inside me, that if they did do carbonite Han, I'd get it no matter what.

I believe the expression was they "had you by the balls" as collectorfreak so eloquently put it. :rotfl

well, no matter what, I hope that they announce it here soon- and Tom, I love your idea. The problem is, I would have to buy all three!

I hope they do not do an inclusive edition for a PF Fett. I think that works for figures but not so much for these larger pieces. Let's not kill the collectivity factor on the more expensive stuff.

That said, I hope they do a ROTJ Fett with an exclusive of 500 pieces. Whatever the exclusive is I don't think it should have anything to do with the ESB version (or Jango Fett for that matter). Similarities of costumes aside, it's an entirely different version of the character. Sucks, doesn't it?

I agree a Han in carbonite with a light up feature would sell well on it's own the same way those probe droids sold for Darth Maul 1/6.

I don't think there's really a reason to do an inclusive for the PF's. Luke/Yoda lasted for a week or something before it sold I believe. Granted this was a duplicate character and maybe not as big as Fett would be, but I still wouldn't expect there to be a huge sellout. But I could be wrong...it has been known to happen...from time to time.

So whadda we think? Preview before or during SDCC?

Actually I would consider the Boba PF to sell just as well/quick as the Vader did whatever the exclusive might be. That comparison got me to thinking though. Do you think we'll be seeing another joint exclusive with SWS.com?

How quickly did Vader sell out? I wasn't collecting PF's back then...

To be honest I can't remember precisely. Maybe someone else can, but I don't think it was anything lightning fast. A week or something like that. Basically the 2000ES was split 50/50 between SS and SWS.com.

I was thinking a week or so too, but don't exactly remember. I know I didn't know the exact day it went on sale and still got an exclusive Vader days later.

SWS.com actually had either a 24hr or 48hr advance sale on it too, which really surprised a lot of folks. Then once it went up at SS directly, most folks cancelled with SWS.com to move their order to SS because of SWS.com's higher shipping.

I think that any light up feature will be common to both regular and exclusive versions, as with Darth Vader and Obi-Wan. The lights are really a very small feature, and that just wouldn't be impressive enough for the exclusive. Obviously, a frozen Han would be great. The alternate ESB version as an exclusive would be a lot of work, the more I think about it. It would take a lot more than just a paint job--there are several differences in more areas than just color. (Plus, I would have to buy both since you couldn't swap back and forth like Grievous.)

Any guesses as to what an add-on or interchangeable item might be? I'm stuck on the idea of Carbonite Han.

I hope it's something relevant and not just an added on item like the mouse droid or training remote. But besides cabronite Han, I can't think of anything. Ergo carbonite Han. :D

Gotta be Han in carbonite!

The only other exclusive I could even imagine would be a ROTJ paintjob with a lame lightsaber bisected battle damaged blaster.
