there are two exclusives on ebay and the least expensive is $2000.

what's the regular version of doom going for now, around $1300?

NO, NO, and NO. Just because *******s are asking that much, doesn't mean that's what it's worth.

A regular is worth about $1000. An exclusive, anywhere from $1300-1600 (probably closer to $1300 though)

are you basing your value on previously sold dooms on ebay? the last doom regular that sold went for $1025 shipped and the guy ended the auction with a best offer. i believe it had been previously displayed. obviously a motivated seller that needed the money. with this in mind, guys with an iron man comiquette should be asking less than $1000? as far as i know, im hasn't passed doom in price just yet. does the price go up if it's never displayed?

as these get less and less plentiful, the price would go up because it's a 'grail'.

please provide a link if possible to a doom regular or exclusive with a bin price or sale price in which your value is based. i'm very interested to see exactly how many are out there. thanks loki.

Why do you think taking a best offer means selling for under the value. It doesn't. It means someone priced an item above its value in hopes someone would pay that amount for it. When they don't, they take an offer for what the thing is actually worth. In Doom's case $950.00 to $1000.00. Here is a closed auction for an exc Doom that was just a regular auction.https://cgi.ebay.com/Sideshow-Collectibles-Dr-Doom-Exclusive-Premium-Format_W0QQitemZ260160751308QQihZ016QQcategoryZ751QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i think a best offer means that the seller will listen to lesser offers because he is motivated and doesn't necessarily mean he's overpriced the bin.

i mentioned the item you provided a link to in another thread. that guy is selling an exclusive WITHOUT the chalice for $1060 shipped. and most likely this item has been displayed as the elusive description states, 'The figure and the original box are mint condition'.

the exclusive link that sold for $1300 shipped, that is more like an accurate determination of what they are selling for. i may just take your advice and see what it will yield.

I pointed out it didn't have the cup in my post. I overprice stuff all the time on ebay in the hopes some fool will overpay. When they won't I start taking offers. The $1250.00 shipped regular guy is doing the same thing. Like I said put it on ebay for $1250.00 or $1300.00 without a best offer option. If you sell it great, but I doubt you will.

All I ever base anything on is closed auctions. Doom regulars have been selling for $950-$1000. People can put high asking prices all the time. Until one actually sells for that asking price, it isn't worth that much.

:lecture The man speaks the truth. Why would anyone buy your Doom for $1300 when they can be the one listed below yours for $900 to $1000? Also, you must take a sellers feedback and reputation into consideration. Are you a powerseller with over 1000 positive transactions? People will pay more for security. If you have a paltry 30-50 feedback score most likely people will stay away from your high dollar item.

Hope this helps. I sold my regular Doom a little while back for $900 plus shipping and I was lucky to get that. I will always stay true to my motto and hope you can use it as well - Greed always kills the sell. :)

I would LOVE a Doom in my collection, but i'm certainly not prepared to pay an extra few hundred just because you think one is special because you claim its 'never displayed'. Its fair enough mentioning that in the description but you seem to to be basing the price you are asking on the this fact and have have boosted the sale price because of that fact.
Imo That does not make your Doom any more or less special than any others in the run, after all, they are all exactly the same.Besides, how is anyone to know whether or not you have displayed it?(I'm not calling you a liar but that is a point that is questionable).

Personally when I'm looking I don't care if its been displayed as long as its been well looked after, no chips/cracks/repaints etc and comes from a smoke free home(again that cannot be proven but the item would be returned if it arrived smelling of smoke).
As mentioned, list it on eBay, see if you get anyone but like people have mentioned you will probably get offers for about $1000 for a regular, I know thats what I would roughly pay.
You never know though?!
Just my thoughts :monkey3

display=exposure to the elemants. i have never had a problem knowing when an item was previously displayed and would in no way pay as much for a displayed item as a non-displayed item. in my opinion, that 'case freshness' is worth extra $. hope that makes sense.

what i'm wondering is, in past, a regular doom was worth more than an IM ex.

has IM officially surpassed doom in value, or are you too wanting more than an item is worth? :D

I would say the exclusive Iron Man has surpassed the regular Doom in value, but not by much.

KING FLIPPER has spoken! :lol

i kind of get that feeling too.

It has nothing to do with flipping. It is common sense. Just look at closed ebay auctions. The information is there. People put too much stock in asking prices and not what things actually sell for.
