Yeah, but eBay can give someone a warm fuzzy with all the protection and stuff, especially since you're dealing with some dude on a message board with like 3 posts, all about trying to sell something.

You realize this comment makes you seem suspect like we should look to eBay as a guarantee because we can't trust these boards or something along those lines....

Either way if you're more comfortable going through eBay or trying to reassure folks via eBay then slap it on there with a BIN and watch it be gone within a couple of hours.

I didn't mean to make myself look suspect, I just figured that when you're dealing with this amount of money people will want as much reassurance that they can get.

IF you are about to let it go for $800- reconsider.

Not only will people be skeptical and you might run into a troublesome buyer but why get less than it's worth?

Unless you are rich, I say put it on ebay for 99cents and watch it rise. Pay down any debt you have with the profit. :lecture

Makes sense but even on eBay you're taking a shot at someone not coming through. I've been burned at least four times on eBay and two of those four were sellers with 100% feedback....until mine of course.

Another option is to sell it locally. Then your buyer can inspect the statue and be reassured right away- plus you cut down on pesky fees.

Where do you live? For that price I am sure pople are willing to drive a fair distance to pick it up personnaly. If you live in a big state like California their would be tons of interest.

I've helped fellow freaks get some pieces for cheap, but with DOOMY, I would put him on the bay and get as much $$$ as possible for him.

Guess he changed his mind about 800 for DOOM:

Doom PF Ex:monkey4:monkey4:monkey2

I guess it's still a good deal but theirs damage and I think something is wrong with the box...

That's his Ebay User ID, still a good deal but I just don't have that in the budget right now.

$1200 for slightly damaged one? Nope. $800 yes. The $2000 Doom Exclusive PF asking price is fishing for any born yesterdays to buy it and move on. I guarantee you for $1200 you'd be able to nab one that was flawless without hesitation.

I know that's why I'm waiting, not in the budget and 1200 for one that's damaged and something is wrong with the box too...800 is fair but 1200, no thanks.

these 'grails' are so not worth the price. onward and upward with some new blood for alot less.

I was just offered a Doom Ex. for $1310, seems to be a fair price considering what I have read in this thread. What do you guys think?
