What's more important to your collection, the movie or the character design?

Mark me for the "both" option. The design of the character has to the best that there is available and the movie has to be something I have above average interest in (especially when the price tag is high). From a personal example, I bought the Legend Darkness bust. Legend certainly wasn't the greatest movie, but the character was a wonderful creation and the bust was an extremely accurate representation. However, even though I like the character, I wouldn't consider buying the Sota Darkness figure. Only a PF or CM....

I decided to go with "character design" because I kept thinking about the Tim Burton BATMAN movies. I love the designs, but not the movies.

um, in some cases the design alone can make me wanna get it for no reason LOL
But the most powerful motivational aspect in getting figures would be whether I liked the movie and wanted one of the characters on the shelf or not
