Now before I make my point...i'd like to say I have no intrest in the Clone Wars movie because frankly im sick of Prequel crap, and the Clone Wars...plus I think its overkill because of the two TV series', and two movies based on the CW.

Anyway so people are always getting these, trying to find them, scalping them ect..

Now I went to my target today, and they had 6 of them, and 2 exclusive ones...so...aside from being a Clone, whats the deal with him? What makes him so high demand?

Honest question....

I like because he's an ARC trooper who's be trained by Jango Fett and Anakin Skywalker and he's dyed his hair blonde.

Its not that simple.

Rex has a similar appeal as characters like Gree and Cody, etc before him.

CC-7567, also known as Rex, was a clone trooper captain during the Clone Wars, during which he was in command of Torrent Company of the famed 501st Legion. Rex and his men were assigned to patrol the sectors of the galaxy within the Outer Rim. Anakin Skywalker's second in command during the Clone Wars, Captain Rex was a freethinking and aggressive clone trooper. Rex voiced his professional opinion to even the highest-ranking Jedi. Rex was known to have fought on Tatooine, Christophsis and held off CIS forces on Teth with Commander Cody while Obi-Wan Kenobi aided Skywalker.

Its this free thought that made him dye his hair blonde. He did to separate himself from the other clones and from initial reports he doesn't see himself as a Clone, its the closest thing to an actual Jango clone because he wasn't instilled with the automatic order follow reaction as the clones before and after him. Also his individuality continues to shine through:

Rex's armor consisted of the color and design that the entire 501st Legion had in 19 BBY, though the armor itself was still Phase I armor. He also wore a kama and pauldron, and his helmet displayed Jaig eyes. He carried twin blaster pistols but also utilized the more standard blaster rifles. When required, Rex could also be seen using jetpacks.

He is a member of the 501st which is "Vader's Fist" and is Anakin/Vader's answer to Obi-Wan's Cody. He is set to be a central character in the series.

I just like the look because its the ARC version but with the individuality of the Commanders from ROTS. Its the best of both since I prefer the Phase I armor and am glad that they are including a Phase I Cody in the Clone Wars as well.

Huh....kinda cool. I'll wait for the realistic version. I just cant see my self buying these figures.

I can't force myself to like Rex. Yet another repainted clone with some edginess. Is there any originality left?

What's so specil for me is that A. He's an ARC trooper, well he looks like one, B. I really like the clones, and I feel that many people buy him because of that too.

what is the big deal with rex.
well you have your mail away one. which has clean uniform and you have your one that they are putting in stores.
the one that is a mailaway has different guns.

Im not buying them because I think the movie is a waste of time. And im sick of the Clone Wars....

I think it kind of sucks that they named him after the pilot droid from the Disney Star Tours ride. Poor Captain Rex (the clone).

Are you F&*king serious? I mean I know the Star Tours droid is named Rex, but is that what that character was named after?

You know... I'm willing to evolve to new things and am open to that kind of stuff, but this movie looks like it's possibly going to be a disaster. For the first time EVER I can honestly say that I'm not on the edge of my seat counting down to the midnight showing of Clone Wars. I'll catch it when I catch it, but I think I'll be seeing The Dark Knight 2 more times before I see that movie.

I dont even know why there was a midnight madness for this....it just doesnt seem like a movie at all to me.

I am seriously cloned out. Bring on some new material for Star Wars. Prequels are weak!:emperor

BOBA FETT movie set AFTER Return. That'll be huge I bet. Everyone loves the Fett.

If you're an OT Purist then Boba Fett is dead after Return of the Jedi. I guarantee you there'd be a whole slew of people who would disagree that anything Boba Fett should be done after ROTJ.
