No he shouldnt. Plus he's not dead...he'll be alive for a 1000 years. So...thats plenty of time for him to escape. Plus, didnt Lucas say everything was canon?

I am not in the camp that thinks the movie will bomb. However, EU and animation really doesn't interest me. Personally I am waiting for the live action TV series.

I heard a rumour that Boba Fett is set to appear in Star Wars: Legacy, due to the non-aging thing (see Legacy of the Force)...

He can die, but not of old age, he's the Fett man after all...

I considered myself to be a Star Wars Freak but I just don't take to the animated versions of the 3-3/4-inch Clone Wars Figures released recently. Somehow, that skinny waist, triangular shaped head and long limps just turn me off.

However, if Sideshow release non-animated versions of the Clone Wars Figures in 12-inch or PF Format, then I would be interested.

That's the reason I'm not buying LEGO sets from the Clone Wars, the figures don't fit in with other LEGO figures...

Ugh. So what you are telling me is that in the EU Boba Fett cannot die of old age? So essentially since he was a Clone of Jango Fett, then all of the Clones cannot die of old age? Is that correct?

My problem with the movie is, if they are going to do ANIMATED SW adventures then they should give us a flick with Han luke and leia.

And use the realistic animation they used in beowulf.

I just want to see him again. Plus, Lucas wanted him to live anyway. But still....

Sarlacc brings you Dominos Pizza. Which is a torture in itself.

They phrase is "slowly digested", not slowly killed. Where does it say that the victims live. And didn't Boba Fett see dead victims in the Sarlaac?

I'll tell you what, though. The thought of a creature that keeps you alive for 1,000 years while it digests you could make a pretty potent replacement for the Hell as Dante described it.

I loved him in Empire when he was cool....and then he totally pussed out in Jedi.

Thats because Lucas is a terrible writer who has no idea how to do a correct b=villian. (sans Vader).

Lets wind the clocks back 10 years....these uh, villians and evil doers wouldnt dare be killed by anyone, I mean...w-what happened? Their balls dropped off.

Maul: TOTAL BADASS. When you look at him, you know he's a special villian...and what does Lucas do? Kill him off in the first movie...heck, he's bearly in it.

Jango.....yeah he got a cool death, but still. MAKE YOUR VILLIANS BE A MAJOR PART OF THE FILM!

Dooku...meh. I dont care, he's a boring villian.

Grievous. Yeah, look at Grievous! He's a cyborg that can wield 4 sabers! ALRIGHT! No. He's a wuss. He dies by a few gun shots. Good job lucas.

OK, Fett isnt that big of a character pre Empire (obviously) but Lucas understood the appeal for him....so he put him in Return of the Jedi....and turned him into a wuss like you said, and he got a horrible lame death.

See, if I wrote these characters, each of them would get as much screen time as the heros. They wouldnt die in the worst way, and they would live up to their apperence.

A Fett movie must be made. Just make it. People will love it for sure....kids will see it, (although i'd have it rated a heavy PG-13) heck when I was a kid, Fett was my most played with....I loved the look of the guy.

Eh.

The thing you have to realize is that the villains you listed were all speed bumps in the story he wanted to tell the Fall and Redemption of Anakin Skywalker. Even if you take it from the OT mantra of the rise of Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi, his oppositional force was always Vader. The PT was thrown together to tell the first half of a story and in that hind sight you can see that he was setting you up for the Obi/Vader oppositional relationship from ANH so everything else was just a means to an end to get there. Even the Clone Wars for example feels like a "by the way" in the grand scheme of AOTC. None of those villains were meant to be the main focal point or the antagonist.

I'm not defending Lucas by any means but that's why the characters aren't really pulled through....he never wanted them to be.

agreed 100%!!!!! he's not as awesome as most people make him out to be...

A good point...but, i've always been a Villian guy. OT aside, I always rooted for the villians, mainly because the heros (Obi Wan aside) were all boring. IMO.
