When are you considered poor?

I believe I'm the poorest here , I do have a modest collection of 1/6 figures but at 43 years old, I'm still single because I can't afford to get married and raise children. I'm so poor I never had a girlfriend in my entire life!

First, you have to define what is considered the poverty level. If you list a dollar amount, like some earlier posts, that is what someone is telling you. It may be true, it may not be. The U.S. Government can tell you any number they want. Is it $5,000, $11,000, $18,000? I think it is up to the individual and their expenses.

Jobs in the uk full time are hard to come by I earn £4,850 a year on contracted hours which is contract of 12 hours a week rate of pay is £7.04 but I get loads of overtime I'm 21.

I lived in a council house all my life my mum can't work because she is a full time carer for my sister who is special needs and my step dad works for a bowling company not sure how much he earns but he keeps us going. My life style is totally different to many of my friends.
