Forget that! :nono Drop the dolls [12"] and trinkets [dioramas] if you have to...but leave the busts alone, they :rock

Yeah Okey, I can let the dolls and busts go... just leave the dioramas and the PF:s alone!:monkey5

NO!!! The LOTR 1/6 line is my pride and joy, the one line I intend to be a completionist in! I would die if I didn't see at least the Fellowship, Saruman, GtW, some elven warriors, Elrond, and the Ladies--AT LEAST!

I really hope Sideshow plans on continuing this line with at least some force in the coming years...........

Meeh!!

Sideshow gotta do something to speed things up! If it would go slower they would take things back!!!

and to do so it gotta be some sacrifices!! and I'm willing to make some to get some speed up!!

As long as they don't cancel they things I collect:D

Well, I have Faramir coming, so at least my dream has been realized. But what of the Fellowship? They wouldn't DARE omit them! They even said they would make the hobbits!

But when?!?!?

at this rate?

If they only realese fellowship members from now we'll probably see the entire fellowship in about 4 years!

but imagine if they would cancel the legendery scale bust line and while they're at it they might aswell cancel some Star Wars lines, we could se it in about two years!!

who's with me?!?!?

No way, the Legendary Busts are quite impressive. :emperor

Absolutely! Can't say enough about how good they look!! :clap

Yeah! I gotta agree on that! They are really impressive! But they are allmost to big! Allmost impossible to display unless you got a seperate room for them!

So for me they migh as well cancel that line, and bring up the tempo on the other LOTR lines! Or maby get one line going, and after a while start a new one.. Not to have 10 diffrent lines and have two announcements a year!!!

So concentrate on the Dioramas for example and then when we got a few of those, pick up the legendery line...

Agreed, I've pretty much decided to sell off my 1/6 Star Wars line and collect only LOTR.

Yeah, I only have five Star Wars figures right now, since I only have a few Jedi and core characters. Money is super tight--I had to sell off a bunch of stuff just to have enough in my account to get Boromir!!! Still, I really REALLY want to see something new--part of the fun in this hobby is scrutinizing every last part of a figure just as another one is previewed. Now Faramir is about to dawn upon us and we still haven't seen anything new--not even a clue or a hint!

Can't you tell us ANYTHING, Sideshow?!?!?!?!?

There's really no need to sacrifice any LOTR line for the sake of another. Whoever is working on the busts most probably has nothing to do with the 12" figures.

Personally, I certainly won't lose interest in the 12" figures due to the continued delay, but I'm sure, as previously mentioned, that many others will. LOTR will continue to be my main collectible genre. But with the delay in the 12" line, I am presently picking up some bargains within the SS/Weta lines. But truth be told, GG certainly has my attention and I've already placed a pre-order to check them out.

You are right, being as large as they are does present a problem in displaying them, so maybe cancelling the line is the answer......right after they do a ringwraith, witch-king in true form, balrog, some moria orcs, some mordor orcs, some uruk hai [including a lurtz], mouth of sauron, fell beast, king of the dead, and every other "baddie" that has temporarily slipped my mind :naughty

I was all excited too, when the headlines for the newsletter stated "new previews", but it looks like we'll still have to be patient. and not to argue semantics, but the newsletter read "new previews" and the only one I saw was Ash, shouldn't that be "new preview"? I was all excited to see a new LOTR/SW/BTVS preorder this week

Here's a Q&A from the recent "Ask Sideshow", if anyone's interested....

Question: Will Sideshow debut a new 12-inch body type for males and females in the near future? Also, what about hobbits and short bodies?

SSC: The development team has been overheard discussing this very subject...

They seem to be keeping pretty tight-lipped about this, but it's something many of us have been suggesting for quite a while now. I take this to mean they're still tooling up for certain characters, and hopefully the line will really start to roll in earnest after some of these essential concerns have been resolved.:D

Well now we know that Hobbits are indeed, gratefully, in the works, naturally implying we will someday have the complete Fellowship. Until then, I'm suddenly warming up to Saruman for some reason. After Gandalf he would be a great choice--maybe make an environment of the Palantir at Orthanc to go with him! Actually, that seems inevitable, doesn't it?

Other characters I'd want to see sooner rather than later (not counting the Fellowship and their various incarnations) are Arwen in the Red Mourning gown, a prologue elven warrior, and Galadriel. And how about an Orc Three-pack? Put in a Moria orc, an Uruk-Hai, and a Mordor orc. Give each one an interchangeable head, a couple of wardrobe and accessory options, and BOOM! Major army building potential!!! But how on earth they would manage the insane production of such a venture is beyond my ability to comprehend. But man it would be amazing!

OK I'm done. Where's Faramir?!?!?!?!?

Yeah, hopefully we see some Hobbits and Gimli soon. Really would like to start adding those to my collection. When they start doing Orc's and Uruk's I'd rather them not to multi heads as I have no intentions to army build.
