where can i get a predator 1 life size bust

well i look forward to putting both of them next to each other, i concede that the p1 is going to be a hard one to beat as a true bust where as the wolf bust is effectively a head on a large stand......

I don't think I'm arguing really , just discussing. I prefer it by a long shot , I also know the guy he quoted does and also a few other people I know who are buying it. Since there both 1:1 predator busts I think they can definitely be compared.
I mean yeah , I love the original predator and obviously prefer the original movie and would of bought the bust originally at retail price. It's great but I think this just oversteps it a little.
I don't like how the predator bust is flat at the sides also , I think it takes alot of realism away from the piece and is also the reason i prefer the stand on this one. The original has a much better sculpted face movie wise and the piece wise. Hmm , its tough for me this.

I know for a fact I have preferred alot of masks I have seen over at the hunters lair to both of these. Fantastic display pieces. I'm still waiting on sideshow to give me a predator 2 bust. Hes my definite fave design wise. Love the rustic look stan gave him.

I like the Wolf...is it better than the Predator 1 design? No.

Is the Predator 1 design better than Wolf? No.

What I like is we've seen this race built up with each character being unique in their facial structure...just like us! Their coloration, facial features, outfits and masks are all unique. It's easy to "prefer" one over the other, but I don't think any design is necessarily superior to any of the others. The Predator creature has been kept in the Winston "bloodline" and evolved uniquely because of that. Even with ADI, the Predator is still under some of the SAME creators who worked on it since the original movie and its sequel.

The Predator 1 was actually a "rush job" by Stan Winston, done partly as a favor to his friend, Arnold Schwarzenegger (sp?) and partly because Winston believed the script had promise.

It was a rare occassion that Winston and his crew was then able to then tackle the Predator character with more time and expand on the race with Predator 2. The Wolf actually appears to borrow a lot of the same head structure from the Predator 2 Hunter.

We actually could have had something much like the Predator 2 in the first movie if Stan Winston Studios had more time to further develop the creature and its arsenal.

Some of the best designs or other pieces of art come from a flow of creativity, time-pressure can even stimulate such creativity to a greater degree.

It was a rare occassion that Winston and his crew was then able to then tackle the Predator character with more time and expand on the race with Predator 2.

The pred from Predator 2 doesnt compare to the first one although it is a good design.

We actually could have had something much like the Predator 2 in the first movie if Stan Winston Studios had more time to further develop the creature and its arsenal.

I think its just a matter of personal preference, would I like a p1 bust? Hell yes! If I had to choose it would be wolf hands down. I just personally prefer the look with the scarring and detail, and I loved the character.

One thing that is just bad about the Wolf design is that it tries to much to look evil and ironically it makes it look much les imposing. Compare the two bio-helmets for example. The original predator has a very cold and outherworld looking bio-helmet, totally devoid of emotion, this makes it look more creapy. Wolf's mask design just shouts "look at me i look evillll"

I don't think the wolf mask shows any emotion either. It just looks more aggressive than the p1 bio helmet. I get your point, but I think the wolf bio mask is not a bad design at all, I have the prop replica and think it looks totally amazing.
