Where to start ??

Thanks for all the help guys , i think im leaning towards the lurtz and sauron , every statue i have so far is a bad guy from one of the movies so i'm gonna keep that up. I'm going to put photos framed behind each piece so it shows the viewer which movie its from if they don't recognize it.
I'm gonna get the money together in the bank and put it in paypal and whilst thats processing sort out the room where they will be for display.

I would vote for the Gandalf Legendary Scale Bust. It's a very iconic piece that represents LOTR very well. Still one of my favorites from the Sideshow/Weta line is the excellent Gandalf on Shadowfax. And the brand new Aragorn PF looks to be outstanding.

I agree with tom! While Aragon... is an awesome peice.. it doesn't scream LOTR.

If your not into the bust then I'd go with Sauron or the Ringwraith on steed statue.

My vote is Ringwraith on Steed. Iconic LOTR.

Ringwraith on Steed recommended here as well....ICONIC....bad guy....BEAUTIFUL sculpt. Can't go wrong. If you're willing to contemplate a good guy...I agree that the original Sideshow/Weta Gandalf the Grey would probably be the most recognizable (plus, you can use him as well for the "Hobbit" display).

Indeed, you should get Sauron. The sheer size of it will be awesome. If you were to put that only ONE piece and tells people you are a fan - Sauron it is! Just like the SW would get Vader and not Yoda as the iconic figure.

I say increase that $600 to $6000+ and pick up the "Bronze Gandalf". You will immediately become the envy of every LOTR collector.

I dont think i even plan to spend that much (this year) on my whole collection!..
I wouldn't pay that much too. :chew:chew. Because i hate bronze , if im saving up for it , its gotta be gold baby!! :chew:chew

Definitely great choices, but if you plan on displaying them together they might look a little strange due to the different scales (Lurtz is 1/4, Sauron is 1/6).

If you're sold on Weta Sauron, I would say get Morgul Lord to go with him ... or if you want to pony up the extra cash - get the RWOS to go with him. If you get PF Lurtz, I would say get Aragorn with him, or if you're set on a bad guy, just wait for the eventual Ringwraith PF (you know it's gonna happen someday).

Welcome to the forums, first.

Second, I own every PF from LOTR and I must say that in time having Gandalf the White and soon, Aragorn, you should try and invest in that line. I have been impressed with this line, as slow as it is going.

I have Lurtz, and Sauron and they are both very very impressive pieces, if you get them both you wont be disappointed. The attention to detail is incredible.

think im gonna pull myself out of the debt pit first and pay off the ebay fees for my hot toys preds!. Then im lekely to pick up the lurtz pf and wait again and pick up aragon , i really appreciate all the help fellas , thanks alot.

Firstly Welcome!!

There have been some excellent choices put forward and if you are to collect only one or two pieces it will be difficult.
Personally I dont collect the bad guys, however, even I have a SSW Sauron and RWOS.Those 2 pieces are just so (dare i say it) 'iconic', and Sauron after all IS the Lord of the Ring.

I would definately consider those aswell as the Lurtz PF.

Edit: Any Hobbits would also be great!!
