I'm surprised HT even made that Pred, its hideous IMO.

It used to be, times were so good then. Now it's more like $1.44 to one pound. So our importing costs have gone up so much lately.

I got my Lost Pred shipped for $185 USD = $290 AUD

To be honest I do have to agree with you there, I think it's the colour scheme that does it. It sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the others.

I really hate the VAT tax (19%) Sideshow applies to all EU customers. To that you can add the high shipping costs and then you have a pretty expensive figure.

I know nothing about international shipping since I've never bought anything from overseas and I've never sold anything to anyone overseas. I'm curious though, would it be cheaper in the long run to have someone buy it in the US, then ship it over to someone in, say, the UK or Australia, or would it be better for them to just order it themselves?

It would be better to order it themselves in most cases. If it's $45 to ship an item to Australia, for instance, then you'd be paying $10 to ship it to someone you know, in America, and then the $45 on top of that to ship it on to Australia. Of course Sideshow use FedEx, so it may be marginally cheaper to have it sent to someone, you know, and they might use USPS, which might cost $30, if your lucky, so it might work out a little cheaper. It'd probably work best if your friend could accumulate 3 or 4 items and send them over in bulk. That'd work.

They do tend to drop the price of their Hot Toys figures after a little while.
I can't see anyone dropping that much money on one.

They did have the Battle Damaged P2 for £100 a while ago, managed to restrain myself from ordering it.
