And until a few years ago all they were making were kids toys, the "collectible" attitude hasn't really permeated through there yet and they don't realize how important QC is.

This factory has been producing collectibles for SS for over 5 years now and you're trying to tell us they haven't yet figured out the importance of QC :lol

and this explains the drop off in QC over the past few years how?.....

When a collectibles company isn't happy with the factory the collectibles company can not use them again and that has happened.

and that's a bad thing because?......Why on earth would SS, or any other company for that matter, want to use a factory that it isn't happy because they can't get the job done right

Mercedes, Honda and Nissan all have assembly/production plants in the U.S.....why can't Sideshow. :)

because sideshow isn't big enough to warrant spending billions on a plant in the usa. it's cost effective to have them made in china, like most everything that you buy today. look at the box or label on most every product and it's made in china.

No, it wouldn't cost them "billions" to move their production to the U.S., esp. if they were to purchase or lease an existing facility and refit it to meet their needs. But it would certainly have an effect on their profits.

It would be significantly cheaper for SS to simply send some of their own people to China to oversee QC. The benefits of this would be twofold, and would more than outweigh the cost involved. It would ensure that SS's re****tion as a high-end collectible company remains intact. It would keep it's customers happy, and coming back for more.

it might as well be billions if it cuts significantly into their profits. maybe i should have said millions. they could raise their prices to that of a Mercedes, Honda or Nissan but sales would probably drop off. :lol i'm probably thinking they already have company reps going to china but alot can happen when the chinese factory workers don't have anyone looking over their shoulder. especially around the chinese new year. :fireworks

I voted Sideshow.

While I agree that GG has had some serious flops liek the Obi-Wan in clone armor statue I think SS has far more gaffs in production pieces.....especially the paint applications.
