This is for you void.

PS: I know folks that they're not the exact same type of films. :nana:

Odd thing is, Id say the LOTR films are overall better, but I'll rewatch the Batman films more often.... :monkey1

I still think the Nolancompoops outnumber the Ringtards here, Josh, so not sure what you're expecting here. :lol

I'm just doing this for giggles. It's one of those things where you can put anything up against Nolan's batman films and it would lose. Though right now it's winning.

I'm a big fan of both but the LotR films go above and beyond anything else I've experienced on screen. What the LotR crew achieved is almost unfathomable. It's the reason I've watched the 11 hour trilogy at least 20 times and haven't even gotten to the blu-rays yet!

Both are executed well, but LOTR films are so much more epic and broad that they win hands down.

I'm honestly not sure. I like both a lot. I think one weakness of the Bat-films though is the weak third film, while Lord of the Rings didn't really have one that was all that bad relative to the others.

I voted for LOTR...Apart for about 5 to 10 minutes of footage which annoyed me they were fantastic...PJ did have the story in front of him so it was basically his job to translate it on to the screen...Nolan on the otherhand created his story using well loved characters...and he IMHO did a fantastic job with his trilogy...the third perhaps being the worst because of Ledgers death and over complicating the story a bit...I still loved it though

Yeah when it said "The End" after the last scene you almost think it should have paused for a few seconds and then had a question mark pop up at the end.
