Yeah when it said "The End" after the last scene you almost think it should have paused for a few seconds and then had a question mark pop up at the end.

I wanted about 30 minutes more of false endings. :monkey2

My two year old son watches Cars 2 all the time. Not the best movie obviously but one thing I noticed after TDKR is that it wasn't afraid to reference Paul Newman's "Doc" character from Cars 1 even though the actor had passed away since then. They did it in a way that paid tribute to him and didn't take you out of the movie. It really wasn't a big deal. Not sure why Nolan couldn't have done the same. :dunno

I agree I would have had the Joker in there somewhere even as a reference...he was missed

I agree with that Jackson had something to work with. The world creates by Tolkien is fantastic so he had a nice running start. There are a few moments within the movies that I don't care for but as a whole he nailed the books. The world of Middle-earth for fans just has do much depth that I find it hard to see any other fictional realm being able to compete. Then you have how beautiful New Zealand is and the acting done in those movies which are just cherries on top. I can see where the extra endings would toss folks off.

My biggest issue with Nolan's Batman films are tdkr. That movie really left me wanting and even more so doing the trilogy showing they had for it. It's nice knowing when I go see The Lord of the Rings Trilogy EE showing next month that won't be the case.

I've been saying this since before tdkr came out. It wouldn't have been a big deal IMO.

I personally enjoyed Nolans view of Batman and even related to some of the characters in the film...If one goes in a film looking for only one point of view how their beloved character should be well instead of being a little open minded...then it's basically a guarantee that your film experience has a good chance to fail...even lot of the Star Wars kooks went into failure thinking of how the film should be ahead of time....new takes on characters are fine by me as long as they are done right...that's it

Clearly, Nolan doesn't think the fans can handle such weighty subject matter. In other words, he respects his fans less than the creators of Sesame Street respect the 2 year olds who watched that show.

That will forever haunt TDKR. Nolan's "noble" intentions (or inability to cope with Ledger's death), hinder TDKR from becoming the epic it was trying so hard to be.

I hate to say it but I partially agree with you there...Nolan still did ok...We can only imagine what it would have been like if Ledger was still around

Are you serious?! LOTR hands friggin' down!

With LOTR each movie just got better and better. The last one, ROTK? Pure brilliance! Nolan's Batman trilogy couldn't touch the LOTR trilogy, IMO of course. And don't get me started on TDKR :lol

Lotr. i love Batman but Lotr is to epic and has an epic story. The third batman movie just killed the franchise for me.
