I do!

Any other folks on the boards fans of the ol' single malt?

I prefer Speyside whisky myself but it'd be interesting to see what others are into and maybe some recommendations

This is what i have so far;

And on that note, me thinks i'll go pour a dram

Pretty much the only alchohol I drink aside from Flying Dog's and Victory's beers which are hard to find at a bar.

I mainly drink Chivas 12, 18 on holidays or special occasions.

My favorite. You've got some good choices, but the lack of Macallan on your shelf is troubling me. :D I just bought a 21 of the Glenlivet the other day I'm waiting to crack open.

Maybe what I had was a piss poor brand. Ha get it?

I'm willing to try it again. Any recommendations? I know it is an acquired taste.

I'd try a Dalwhinnie 15 yr because it's not as intense as other Whisky, it's sweeter and softer.

Then i'd go for either a GlenLivet 15 yr or a Gelmorangie La Santa. That stuff is beautiful

And then if you decide you like them, try an Islay malt, such as Bowmore or Laphroig, they're very peaty which basicalli gives a more medicinal smokey flavour.

There are lots of low numbers there:rotfl

I don't drink much anymore, but I like my scotch like my women over 18 yo.

My All time favorite was Macallan 25.

I have Glenfiddich 18, Highland Park 18, Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish, and Suntory Hibiki 21 and 30 year old currently.

Indeed there are

But if there's one thing i've learn't with Whisky, it's that older doesn't necessarily mean better

The oldest i ever had was a 30 yr Macduff and currently my most aged is 25 yr Glenburgie

Sometimes the flavour of the wood can be a little too much until it tastes like you're drinking a tree :monkey4

I have found the older scotch smoother then young scotch.

Johnnie Walker Black is the best i've tried so far..

Never tried Chivas but, i can say that dislike their yuppie commercials for the brand.

Wisers Canadian Whiskey commercials on the other hand are great..
