sent mine last friday.........whether i owe or am due back a refund i always wait until a week before. any refunds i've gotten arent all that significant anyway but in the past what i owed was so i would rather it work for me as long as possible.

I actually was going to owe this year so I was waiting, but then we bought a house. Turns out a 2009 purchase can be applied to the '08 taxes; so we ended up with a fat refund.

So I went ahead and filed early

I usually do the same. But for some crazy reason I signed, sealed & stamped the envelope and then just let it sit on my desk and forgot about it!

Since I don't get paid for 8 weeks during the summer, I always wait to send mine in so I'll get the check when my pay checks run out. Though I doubt I'll get to spend any of it anyway, because it will go towards bills.

Congrats! I also had a healthy refund this year. Bought a house and had a kid as well!
