I feel sorry for you, but now I have more bad news: The Internal Revenue Service says it's getting set to ramp up the oversight of electronic filings of tax returns, particularly those made using software like TurboTax, TaxCut, and TaxAct, to make sure they aren't missing out on money they're owed.

I"m finally filed.

Get this, I claim "0" on my AZ state taxes, which means the state takes as much from me as they can, and I hopefully get it back in the end. I need to remedy that, but anyway... while filling out my taxcut forms, I get an "Under Payment Penalty" warning. I paid nearly $3.5K in state taxes, of which I'm only getting $1.2k back, and somehow I'm in danger of Under Payment?!?! WTF?!?!

By some very quick, and quite possibly incorrect, math, looks like I'm giving about 25% of my income to the federal and state government.

Frickin' corrupt politicians/government/^^^^-heads. And they want to raise taxes even more?
