Why do people think the Pred would win? Even with one plasma cannon shot the terminator wont go down and the pred doesnt have super strength or durability or pain resistence.

The Predator bleeds, so you can kill it. Even if: you drop a log on it, stick a sharp disc in it, or put a chestburster in it. Would those things stop a terminator? No.

The Terminator doesnt feel pain, pity, fear or remorse and absolutely will not stop. EVER. Until you are dead. Even if: it smashes its car into a wall head-on at 100mph, it's in an exploding truck, it allows a SWAT team to keep shooting the hell out of it, it takes a plasma blast in the chest, gets smacked thru a building while holding onto a crane, it gets smacked into toilet walls and cubicles. Would a predator still be standing after just one of them? No.

you said all the arguments there, so yeah Terminator SHOULD win and prob WOULD win

when you think about it, the 2 are specifically made (one by nature, one build by man initially) to seek and destroy their preys-targets.
So in that context they both share the same objective:
the predator, like its name means, is a hunter and most likely will terminate its "prey".
the terminator, is actually also a hunter, so you could say he is a predator too and with the soul purpose to (again like its name says) terminate its "target".

the big difference would be de sence of feeling, wich the predator has and the terminator has not...
the terminator would win, especially with its advanced learning cpu give him some facts about the predator and it techniques and skills, and the Terminator would know how to handle a predator perfectly

But wouldnt the pred's bomb take out the pred itself too? Hell even humans have nuclear bombs so even we could win against a pred. I'm not biased here as I do prefer the predators.

Exactly, if a T-800 can do that I'm sure he'll be able to dodge a plasma blast which seems to be the only reason why people think a predator would win. The T-800 has a CPU brain with super-sense and can detect and calculate things in micro-seconds.

Arnold almost won the first time and that was when he was human so... Terminator.

that was my reasoning. In the movie universe, if the Predator isn't the bad guy, it's pretty evenly matched. However, Preds and Terms always lose whether they are good or bad in the movies, humans win.

That brings up a rant. I'm starting to think Preds are b1tches. How many times do they come here and get killed? Scar didn't need to die. Wolf didn't need to die to make a happy ending. I want to see a movie where the Predator actually wins. That's why they are cool. Not because they eventually get taken down.

When Predator and Terminator went head-to-head in the comics, the 'basic' T-800 type died horribly from the plasma cannon. Super-advanced-semi-organic Terminators kicked the Preds to kingdom come, though .

Anyway, it's going to boil down to the weapons IMO. Plasma cannon aside, the Predators' throwing discs look like they'd quite happily disect Terminators. Their spears also look quite capable of doing serious damage (look how far Celtic could drive his into solid stone).

Take away the Predator's heavier weapons, though, and the advantage is clearly with the Terminator.

Whatever the case, the Predator will win. If he lays dying in the hands of the Terminator, all he has to do is activate his self-destruct.

i'm tempted to go with the terminator. he IS pretty relentless and resilient after all.

but i'd say the predator would rely on his cunning and agility to defeat the t-800. he'd be too experienced (decades honed in hunting excursions all over the galaxy) to realize that if he went into a straight one-on-one, he'd probably lose. so he'd devise traps, use bait, diversions and basically any trick in his book to damage the terminator bit by bit. once the enemy is sufficiently weakened, only then he'd move in for the kill...

so my vote is for (an experienced) predator.
