Not really. She did a great job. She was Catwoman, not simply Anne Hathaway in a bunch of ripped black leather. She even had a few elements of several other "Catwomen," making her all the better.

She's up there with Pfeiffer, in my opinion, and she was the best prior to Hathaway. I like Newmar too, but with her... it's simply about the looks for me, lol.

Oh, and by the way, the ripped black leather comment was referring to Halle Berry.

No it's not. It most certainly is not.

I was 20 when the Halle Berry movie came out and that film was god awful, as was she in that role. Hathaway, Pfeiffer and Newmar are the best ones... hence the voting. Granted, I'm surprised there aren't at least 20 something votes for Newmar.

While I can understand the newer is better schtick at times, this isn't one of those cases. Well, at least not for me anyway.

I used to loathe Natalie Portman. At some point, maybe around Episode III, I started to actually like her and found her attractive. Same with Anne Hathaway. Used to roll my eyes whenever I watched a flick with her in it.

I prefer Nolans take over Burtons. I love Pfieffer but her Selina was a loon. Hathaway had way more style and was a lot more slick and action oriented for me. She was way less eccentric and had a commendable goal.

Pfeiffer was iconic in a 'this is the only Catwoman in 30 years, and who doesn't love psycho-goth/necrophiliac/latex/sub-dom/secretary fetish/camp' kinda way.

I wonder how many people aren't voting Hathaway just because she's new, and they're so old school.

I prefer Nolans take over Burtons. I love Pfieffer but her Selina was a loon.

I think it worked, at the time, though. Back then, Catwoman was still seen more as a villain, so I suppose Burton decided to balance out his incarnation by making her a bit crazy.

I was a huge fan of Michelle Pfieffer's take on Catwoman, but after seeing TDKR it comes down to a few key elements:

- I preferred the design of the TDKR catsuit. Anne really worked it.
- Hathaway's Catwoman was a stronger individual, independent, and more three dimensional as a character who was incredibly integral to the plot and also Batman's character arc.
- Personally I've always found Anne Hathaway to be an extremely beautiful woman

I've seen them all, and honestly, no performance was more legendary, beit looks or chops, than Newmar. Hell, Newmar is so eternal as the character that Nolan basically ripped off her look and Hathaway her voice inflections.

Other than seeing her bewb, that movie is terrible.

And Hathaway portrayed no characteristics of Catwoman. Which is prolly why her character was never called Catwoman in the movie.
