Who's the best Catwoman?

When was she called Catwoman?

She wasn't. I believe the newspapers referred to her as "The Cat". That's as close as it got.

She was a catburglar. Her goggles looked like cat ears when they were up. She was slinky. She had a couple cat themed one-liners.

Other than the thief element, the rest are easter eggs. The one thing she has going for her as the Cat is how she related to Bruce Wayne. Also, she could kick ass.

Still, it's hard for me to say that she was ever really Catwoman.

It's not about what's hot, it's about what's effective for the character. Nolan has a tendency to modernize these characters to make them more realistic, but this also has its downsides. The only villain that didn't seem to suffer -- but actually benefit -- from this was Heath Ledger's Joker.

I'm sure the credits don't say Catwoman on TDKR, but everyone knew it was Catwoman. Even Christopher Nolan told her it was for the part of "Catwoman" when she auditioned. If you read any of the "making of" articles, Jonathan Nolan specifically said he'd be writing "Catwoman" into the movie.

The fact that they didn't use the actual name was probably decided later on in the production process. I wouldn't put the "blame" on Hot Toys, or DCD, to be honest.

I thought It was Stupid when I Saw it BAck in the day, When I was young, when I saw it for the first time, Nothing to do with Nolan AT ALL
